Hmmm, the debacle on Monday was much longer thanks to the scoring...that game was 5 hours, but this one has gone longer and is only at 4 hours.

 baseball gods are keeping me from reading Crying of Lot 49!?!?

You should read that book.

This might be the only thing weirder than this game

Is the Parrot really trying to psych Hart out by thrusting his pelvis?

it is pretty disturbing...

Honestly I think its b.s. I mean they've stopped the game at Wrigley for a fan wearing a white shirt being out in CF but this mascot can do that crap? I've seen fans from behind homeplate try to do stuff to distract the pitcher but they always tell them to stop.

Not saying thats why Hart gave up the bomb or walked Bay, but it still seems wrong.

Time to brace ourselves for another blown save.

Hart will not blow the save. BOOK IT!

He didn't blow the save.

Yet.

nope. he'd just get the loss.

Correct. There was no save opportunity. Had I bet each one of you a million dollars, I'd be rich. Rich, I tell you.

for those keeping track, that's adam laroche's third hit of the year. he's now raised his batting average up to .107, and his ops is a sparkling .407.

this is about as cubbish a game as i've seen since... well, maybe the mets loss last year.

Yet? It's impossible for Hart to blow the save when it's not a save situation seeing as how he pitched last inning before the Cubs scored two to take the lead.

May 26, 2006. The Braves score two runs on a sac fly in the 9th. Cubs lose.

That was cubbish.
