doesn't it seem like soto has made solid contact at almost every AB this season?

it just warms my heart to see a cub prospect come up and hit balls hard and show good plate discipline. might as well enjoy it since it only comes around every 20 years or so.

not really that hard lou:

Soriano (bc he's OUR leadoff hitter)

Fukudome

Lee

Ramirez

Soto

Derosa

Pie

Theriot

actually if you run the numbers its best to spread your "guaranteed" outs around the lineup so it doesn't kill rally's, so its actually not that bad to split Pie and Theriot

I strongly, strongly question this. There's no combination of hits and outs that isn't better when the hits are bunched and the outs are bunched.

I thought most people around here think Pie is going to hit his way out of being an "automatic out".

Pie looking better here vs. a lefty that he has all season vs. righties.

I think he will get a lot better as the season goes on. (hopefully)

OK i don't want to get the reputation that I'm ragging on Pie all the time, sorry.

He has been playing like crap though, but I don't expect him to suck all season. I do hope he finishes the month with an OBP above .300 though.
