LOL makes you wonder what you need to do to be considered qualified to be a Major League GM.

A-RamMVP, why do you have the mostly blank space Cubs.com banner as your sig pic?

I like the Cubs 2007 NL Central Champs thing, I wanted to get just that but it wouldn't show up when I tried.

The loss to the Astros is more disconcerning to me then either losses to the Brewers. Because if we can't beat Chris Sampson, then what chance do the Cubs have against Oswalt and Backe? And what's even more disconcerning is the fact the Cubs are now 1-3 AT HOME. It would be one thing it is was 1-3 on the road, but at home? That's craziness.

Why are the Cubs (don't matter the players) so afraid of expectations?

Why are the Cubs afraid of being mention with the really good teams in baseball?

Why is the manager the only one who is known to have great outwardly passion for this game?

At this point, I can't wait for the Cubs to take their first rd trip. The road trip to Pittsburgh/Philly (betwee the 7th and the 13th) is going to be semi-huge for the Cubs. Those two series, may well in turn get the Cubs on track.

The Cubs usually do a good job against Oswalt. It's the crap pitchers like Sampson that they struggle with. This should be a surprise to no one because this is what always happens.

My preferred picture would be the Soriano leaping in the air while Ramirez is running into home after his walk off, but I couldn't find one that was a good size.

When you only give up 5 hits, you should win the ballgame. Other than Fukudome, all of our hitters should be embarrassed by their beginning to the season.

None of that bolded section makes any sense whatsoever.

This is one of the stupidest damn comments I've read on this forum.

Agreed. I think we all agree that there is atleast 5-8 GMs who are clearly worse then Hendry.

Yea, I'm not debating if Hendry is a good/bad GM. That's up for discussion. But to say he's the worst GM in baseball?? Knee jerk, meet reaction.

Agree. The results have been bad, but he's hit the ball hard so far. Lee and DeRosa haven't been embarrassingly bad either. It's mainly Soriano and Ramirez. Once those 2 start hitting, the Cubs will start winning a lot more games.

Backe is a decent enough pitcher that qualify as being better then mediocre, and not quite good enough. He's a decent Jason Marquis type pitcher. Better then Sampson, IMO.

Edit: Now looking back on his career numbers on the road, the Cubs SHOULD rope him, but alas the Cubs will prolly get no-hit by him on Sunday.
