Sorry, #1 pet peeve is the misuse of there/they're/their

Mine is then/than. 98% of this message board uses "then" when comparing 2 things and it completely gets on my nerves.

BTW, I was thinking Stevie Wonder, Gap Band and Parliament Funkadelic should be on this list.

Would you consider Stevie Wonder as part of a bad, that's what I was having trouble with as far as Marley and the Wailers.

Unfort. Sly and the Family Stone missed the cut.

For me, personally, it's the Sex Pistols. I'll listen to most on that listen, but I'll listen to Sex Pistols 24/7, if I could. In fact, I'm listening to "God save the queen" right now.

When you are trying to be a smartass and you make a typo, I think you should expect some cracks about it.

these are terrible choices, no vote from me

Agreed. The Stones are awesome, but - as others have mentioned - it's not legit until you get some Seger, Eagles and (if applicable) Stevie Wonder.

If you're going to put Barry Manilow in then you open the door for all the soft rockers of the 70's. That should be a separate poll. 70's soft rock was a unique species of music and not just a watered down version of the harder rock of its era, unlike the milder radio-friendly rock of today.
