I'm a big fan of the white and the blue jersey designs in this post. My favorite is still the normal pin-stripe home jersey at home, that should be a staple 95% of the time, with maybe an alternate white as shown on a scattered sundays or something.

What I don't like is grey jerseys, I've always hated them. All I think is the cubs are blue and red and white, not GREY. I know grey is a traditional road jersey, but I really don't like the grey unis. I'd much prefer blue on the road.

Since I have the walking bear tattooed on my arm, I would appreciate them keeping that around for as long as possible. I don't know if I'm the biggest fan of the blue jersey, but a little bit of variety is totally fine with me.

I love the walking bear. I thought the old one played right into the loveable losers thing. Plus the walking bear just looks better.

I'm not sure if I prefer the nameless jerseys or not, but I agree. I don't see a reason to change.

I don't mind the walking bear too much, but it'd be better as just an arm patch. The Cubs circle logo should be the main logo if they go to a blue.

 

Also I like the Cuba script, and maybe with Castro stepping down.... haha jk

I love the 84' jerseys, and have been begging my wife to get me the exact one you posted.

 

Those '84 jerseys are good only if worn with a Jose Cardenal-type 'fro or with a Carmen Fanzone-type 'stache.

This would be great news. I love the blue uniforms.

 

I've always disliked gray uniforms in general so anything that would decrease the number of times I have to see those bland things is a good idea. Well, maybe except those red uni's Derwood posted.

 

As far as the home uniforms, getting rid of the pinstripes would be a horrible, horrible idea. There's no need to change the home uniforms at all.

Personally, I wouldn't mind those red jerseies, as long as it is for SPRING TRAINGING ONLY. And the Cub with the Bear in the symbol should be blue and not red, for it to look better.

And yes, when your BASEBALL uniform looks like a uniform used in a Beer Belly slow pitch softball league, then you know you have a BAD uniform.

Names should only appear on road jerseys - home fans should know their players' names.

Agreed. I have 3 blue jersey's, a Wood that I almost got signed. Then I have the old blue BP jerseys for Cole Liniak and Davey Martinez. Ha, love 'em!

I don't consider myself old, but I agree with this 100%. You want colorful uniforms, follow the Harlem Globetrotters.

Call me a boring old traditionalist, but give me pinstripes at home, give me road grey - I even prefer no names, but my only real opinion is this.

 

Please, for the love of God, NO MORE BLUES. The batting practice look 3 out of every 5 games (based on pitcher preferences) just doesn't seem like classic baseball to me. Seems like one more bit of lazy Baker coaching where every tiny preference the players want from their coach, they get. Beyond that, seems like a shameless ploy to sell more jerseys by introducing something "new" every few years (put the names on, take the names off, change the text on the roads, add red to the bill, take red off the bill, etc).

 

If we're going blue, let's do it on Memorial Day, Labor Day, July 4, etc. A TRUE alternate.

 

While I'm giving unasked for opinions, how about 4 or 5 "Throw Back the Clock" nights with old, classic looks? That'll sell some merchandise, and I'll be first in line.
