Wuertz for Willits would piss me off, especially when Willits regresses to Ryan Theriot + a couple walks.

Would that be a regression? That's basically what he is.

It's more than just a couple walks.

What's his forecasted line? I doubt he reaches it if those percentages are any indication.

Willits - .266/.353/.354, EqA .267

Theriot - .270/.330/.347, EqA .237

Fuld - .260/.331/.362, EqA .240

Pie - .291/.345/.480, EqA .273

No reason to waste a good reliever and prospects on him then.

This is still in the works.

I wonder if the Wilits for Wuertz would be in connection with the Pie/Greene rumor that has circulated.

Who is peoriaman and why does he talk as thought he knows things?

He's a fairly longtime poster here who I believe has some connections within the Angels org.

he's not a great player, but it's pretty absurd that he's in the minors. he's certainly good enough to be a 4th outfielder on a good major league team, or a starter on an average one.

Matt Murton agrees

What am I missing here? Are you still talking about Reggie Willits? He isn't in the minors. He is in Aneheim - or at least according to their roster he is. And he started Friday and Saturday.

He was called back up about 5 minutes after Truffles post on Friday.

Got it! His cousin works with me and had asked me Friday afternoon how to find out if he was still up (obviously they are not very close or he wouldn't have to look and the guy is clueless about all things baseball). When I looked Friday afternoon he was on the active roster. I must have looked after he was called up.
