Heh, someone on another board brought this up, but does everyone get that my name is a play on being a fan of Aramis, and not "Ram My Fanny"?

And here I thought you were being incredibly courageous about your sexuality.

Jay Bruce, Homer Bailey and Joey Votto is a good start.

Dusty will convince Krivsky that it's a good trade for them and those 3 "youngins" won't ever perform as well as the veterans.

To be fair, if the Cubs had position prospects like Bruce or Votto when Dusty was around they probably would have played.

If Beane got that for Blanton alone, I'd be impressed. I know Krivsky isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but Billy would have to slip him some rohypnol for Wayne to allow himself to be bent over like that.

It's Joe Blanton, not Jake Peavy. If Beane gets that package, he's the greatest GM ever.

Yeah, I was being facetious. I would be reasonably happy with a package of Cueto and maybe Stubbs or something.

I would fire Jim Hendry and hired Billy Beane IMMEDIATELY, if Beane could pull that trade off.

Whoa, I never noticed that; you should definitely change it. I suggest "FukudomeHomie".

Probably but I do wonder if he would have ever played Soto over Kendall. I don't think he would have.

How would that happen? Beane is already employed!

He didn't turn out to be much, but Hee Seop Choi was comparable to Votto, as a prospect.

I used to, but not anymore. Weirdo!

In all seriousness though, I think you should change the title of this thread to "Reds Hot For Blanton". It's for the best.

Stop with the Bruce talk. The Reds aren't trading him for anybody, much less Joe Blaton. The Reds are the ones that cut off talsk with the Orioles when they insisted on Bruce in a Bedard deal. Bruce won't be traded.

As far as Blaton, I hope the Reds trade for him. Blanton's numbers away from oakland are miserable, and him playing half his game at the GAB sounds like fun for other team's involved. Pitcher's that have recently left Oakland don't exactly have a history of success either.

Why? Bruce is the new Adam Dunn. The Cubs should trade for Bruce. Marquis for Bruce. Dempster for Bruce. Murton for Bruce. How bout all three plus Pie? Bruce, Bruce, Bruce.

Bruce Bruce Bruce Bruce Bruce.

It appears that the A's want Bailey or Cuetto + Votto+ another prospect for Blanton.

Link.

That sorta sounds like the deal Baltimore wanted for Bedard that never materialized.

The key difference is Baltimore insisted on Jay Bruce.

rotoworld thinks there is no way Cincy gives them that much
