I missed Georgetown, Cinn, Rutgers, Providence, Louisville, and South Carolina

I want to see Cuse take this and see if he, at least, can get the entire Big East.

So I'd be the guy you'd call if we were on a gameshow? :D

Holy FUBAR.

Michigan RB Kevin Grady got a DUI last week. Dude blew a .281. Thats right a .281. Thats crazy...your BAC should not look like a batting average. Now ive been drunk in my life and FUBAR but i can not think of one instance that i would of been even close to blowing a .281. And when i was that toasted i would of never thought about getting in the car, hell i probably wouldnt even try to drive my car to the mailbox to get the mail. In his mugshot he could hardly keep his eyes open. Dude needs to lay of the alcohol or stop shooting it in his veins for crying out loud.

Grady will be suspended for Michigan's usual non-conference patsy and be back for all the games that mean anything.

Just saw IU reinstated Lewis from suspension. Two things come to mind. You suspend a guy for his offseason. Doesn't really seem to do much to me. He missed zero playing time. Secondly someone seems desperate for some good news and desperate for a good football season to shift the eye off of basketball.

they realized that it would be the end of indiana football. but iu has never minded doing whatever it takes to win games, regardless of what rules might be broken.

New coverboy:

They have different covers for each system. Matt Ryan is on PS3, Owen Schmitt (?) is on PSP, DeSean Jackson is on PS2 and for some unknown reason, NCAA is celebrating its debut on the Wii by having Sparty the mascot on the cover.

very surprising but i like it

MU and KU come in at 26 and 27. If KU holds or moves up, I may very well have a heart attack.

Same for me with MU. If we could finally put together a top-25 class I'd go crazy.

WVU is keeping the recruiting up which is nice

but you have no idea what i would do for a top 25 class for duke

You can't put the Notre Dame joke on a tee like this. It's not fair.

It's not fair, but it's still fun to kick Notre Dame, even when they're down.

Gah, UCLA gets its second DB decommit in a week...this time to Notre Dame. Granted Pollard isn't that great and DB is the position to lose commits from. The one that hurts was losing Bryon Moore to USC last week.

Oh well, UCLA football is still a joke.

I should have clarified the first game, although I supposed I overestimated people to assume that it was implicit that I did not mean they'd play him and THEN suspend him for Notre Dame.

For the few of you with Verizon FiOS, they've just agreed to a deal with the BTN for standard and HD broadcasts.

So you'll be able to watch the Orange kick your Wildcats butts all over the field now?

There are three things wrong with that statement. Two of them are the fact that I have season tickets and that I've had the BTN since last year thanks to DirecTV. I'll let you figure out what the third one is.

What's going on with that team, anyways? Didn't they just have another starter suspended for academics?

2 I believe and our best reciever but he's going to a CC to get them up. Kids here actually have to go to school and not break the law, much like yours.

I'm ready for some football...Redflash...care to place a wager on the Alabama-Auburn game? I believe you made a post earlier in the thread indicating that Alabama would end the losing streak this year. If Alabama wins, I buy you the sports cap of your choice (total cost not to exceed 30$ with S&H) and vice versa.

How many arrests is that for Iowa now?

Is Ferentz about to wear out his welcome now that he isn't winning at the same level he was early in his tenure. 3 million plus per year is a lot to pay for six to seven wins a season.

I haven't kept track, but the number is way too high. Ferentz is in absolutely no danger of being let go and is still well liked. coaching has rarely ever been the issue, lately it's been injuries (see the RB situation in 2004) and suspensions that have left him with little to no depth.

Well suspensions are partially a coach's fault. You recruit the players plus a good coach controls his players which can be done in many different ways. It could be Ferentz is like Tiller when it comes to off-field stuff. Back around Montrelle Lowe's time at Purdue I began to question Tiller because every year Lowe was here Tiller said he would start then he wouldn't until about mid season and would finish with 900+ yards. Tiller after each of his first three seasons publically said he was sorry and he would start from the beginning the next year. Then his senior year Lowe was voted team captain by his teammates only to have Tiller not start him and ontop of that refuse to even play him. He had something like 12 carries his senior year. Who started in his place? Joey Harris. The following year (his senior year) Harris got academically ineligible (the fan team shirts for that year had him on the back and because he was kicked his face had to be removed so the shirts that year had a faceless guy in a closeup of his face juking with a helmet on). What did Tiller have to say about Harris getting ineligible? "It's not my job to make them get their grades. My job is to win football games." Never supported him since. Maybe Ferentz has this type of attitude and because of it his players act up off the field.
