What's the latest with the negotiations between Comcast and BTN? I'm hoping to actually get to watch some Michigan football games this coming season.

I don't believe there has been any update in a month or so, but things are looking pretty positive. BTN has already caved on the subscriber fee that they're charging Comcast, as well as on the biggest point, which is that the channel will appear on Comcast's expanded package. BTN wanted the channel on Comcast's basic package.

 

I'd be pretty surprised if it's not completed by the middle of the summer.

Thats good but the number of decommits seems to be on the rise every season. I always worry about a player committing too early, I'm sure USC will increase their signing bonus to him pretty soon. Other than that Congrats ;-).

Yeah, disappointing but not surprising since his whole family was rather pro-ND. I was kind of surprised UCLA made his top two. Oh well, given the circumstances, I'd rather lose out on the top running back in the nation than lose out on an offensive lineman. Any offensive lineman. Even a 2-star guy.

Finally took a glance at Illinois' schedule. That's a rough beginning, with games at Missouri, Michigan and Penn State in the first 5 weeks of the season (with home patsies sandwiched in between). Get out of that 3-2, and they'll be in good shape.

Funny story about young Mr. Wood. A couple of weeks ago, Auburn had been recruiting him very for the lack of better word, hard. And a reporter asked him what he thought of Auburn, and his exact words was: "I know it's in Alabama, somewhere." That's my friends is the state of recruiting in Alabama. Very funny.
