Just wondering if anybody knew when tickets go on sale for the Illinois-Mizzou game?

I couldn't find a specific date for this year, but last year they went on sale in mid-June.

Thnanks man, I looked all over and couldnt find a date either. I wonder how hot of a ticket this will be. Sell out or no? About 20 guys from my work are planning on trying to go.

I'm thinking we could get a sellout. Season opener, both teams should be Top 15, not a far drive. I'm really looking forward to it, last year was a great atmosphere and if it's sold out this year it'd be nuts.

It doesn't sell out every year?

Last year was the first time I've been to the game. I don't know what it was like from 01-04 or whenever they previously had it, but last year there were like 62300ish there and the dome holds around 66000.

I guess Illinois being terrible had a lot to do with that.

No way that doesn't sell out this year.

Definitely. Two guaranteed top-15 teams, and I don't know what the rest of that weeks schedule looks like, but it might be appealing for College Gameday as well.

The Seattle Times is running a week-long series about the University of Washington football program that is quite interesting. I'd recommend reading it and this story might be a good place to start.

The Jeremy (sp) Stevens one is really troubling.

Yeah. Unfortunately, there's a lot of disturbing stuff in that series, including the way Washington's legal system dealt with a lot of it.

I thought the Raiders player who kneed Jerramy Stevens in the balls in a game last year was an idiot for doing it but now I applaud him. It's the least Stevens deserved.

And is it wrong that I don't feel the least bit bad for Curtis Williams and what happened to him? I'm not saying that I'm glad he got paralyzed and that he died, just that I don't feel sad about it at all and could really care less.

I'm debating with myself whether I actually want to pay attention to Arkansas football this year. Losing three NFL running backs + one star receiver (even though he wasn't a star receiver all seasion) + an entire secondary + two starting DTs + starting MLB + 2 starting OL = a lot of room to make up. A LOOOT. And that wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the schedule -- Florida from the East, and Texas in the nonconference, as well as all the West opponents. Hopefully, they can make a LOT of improvements over the course of the season, because the 2009 schedule is just ridiculous, assuming top teams don't fall too far. They play both Florida AND Georgia from the East, and Texas AND aTm in the nonconference.

i laugh every time i read the local paper and see someone think that PSU is in any way part of the Pryor recruiting picture

He is one of those signing day national tv guys. I would put money on him picking Michigan. I am very interested to where him and Julio Jones, and Darrell Scott are going to go.

Pryor = OSU

Scott = Texas

I have no clue with Jones. Alabama?

Just my guesses. It was fun when Scott was considering UCLA for one day.

I know Jones is getting pressure to saty in state, still hoping Tech somehow winds up with him. Of course if Texas Tech gets him I am going to hate playing them more than I already do. Scott I am about 75% sure is going to Texas which will be great cause we really need him now, him along with Tre Newton gives Texas some renewed depth at RB. Pryor I just think is going to be given everything he wants by Michigan and now the perfect system for his type, can start next year at Michigan or Red-Shirt at OSU. Thats 3 of rivals top 6 still undecided, Scott could make a decision this weekend it sounds like.

Alot of Rivals insiders say Julio to Oklahoma. Many Bama fans I know don't think he's coming to Bama,

Gotcha, I know nothing about his recruiting so I just guessed. Just know about Pryor and Scott.

I'm guessing that half of the seats at Pryor's next basketball game will be filled with head and assistant coaches. What a circus.

I'm getting antsy for national signing day. NU has a chance to close out the class very nicely.
