Murton and Gallagher for Roberts alone is too much. However, I wouldn't be opposed to shipping both to Baltimore if Bedard was also on his way over.

Except those two aren't even in the neighborhood of what it would take for Bedard alone, let alone him and Roberts.

 

Does anyone have the adjusted OPS with the steals included for Roberts (maybe DeRosa's too for comparison). I'd guess (off the top of my head) that it'd be in the .870 neighborhood if you counted those singles with the steals as doubles.

This is a really bad way to do things and really, you don't have to look at made up numbers like this to see that Roberts is more than just a marginal upgrade over DeRosa. Just look at WARP.

This is the first time they've implied that Angelos has signed off on it though. That's always been a barrier that hasn't been crossed.

His numbers would suffer a bit. GABP isn't that much more a hitter's park than Camden, but enough to make a difference, I think.

Really crappy to pretty crappy, both with no real shot at post season. He would just be riding it out till FA either way. Plus Cinci would be giving up maybe Bailey and Votto in the process, I don't think that really makes them any better. Then there is the Baker factor. The bright side for him is that he would look better in the NL Central for pilling up stats before FA.
