Kansas and Illinois in the BCS would be a joke.

If Kansas doesn't get the auto-bid I could see the Orange passing on them for Missouri. That'll be the most interesting thing.

Then again, the Fiesta could potentially pass on them both for ASU if that was the case which would be anarchy.

Here's what one writer on ESPN.com predicts the match-ups will be.

Allstate BCS National Championship Game

Ohio State (Big Ten champ) vs. LSU (SEC champ)

The Rose Bowl Game Presented by Citi

Allstate Sugar Bowl Georgia (at-large) vs. Hawaii (at-large)

FedEx Orange Bowl

Virginia Tech (ACC champ) vs. Kansas (at-large) Tostitos Fiesta Bowl

Oklahoma (Big 12 champ) vs. West Virginia (Big East champ)

Shocking that LSU had to pay off Ainge yesterday to win. In no way would I have ranked them ahead of Oklahoma who pounded the #1 team in the nation. This LSU love is just ridiculous and driven by the overrated SEC. What the heck is everyone going to do when OSU beats them.

LSU has a month to get healthy =D> \:D/ , I wouldn't be sizing up rings for tOSU any time soon.

Lots of sour grapes in here  .

At least they have the fact that Ohio State did so well last year against the SEC in the national championship game on their side.

They'll beat Ohio State. It won't even be close.

Illinois at #13 in the polls. Still may not have jumped to top 14 in the BCS standings, as BC and Clemson will also be close.

I'm with you. Same argument can be said to the alledged Illinois/USC match up as well.

LSU is going to disembowel Ohio State.

Agreed.

I think I know what it's like being a Michigan State fan at this point. I can't root for Michigan to beat Ohio State anymore, so I just have to root for bad things to happen to them.

I am a MSU fan and I root for Michigan in every non-conference game. It surely doesnt make us any better if Michigan and OSU lose there bowl games.

I think the only reason LSU wins this game is because its a home game. If it was played in Cleveland, OSU would win easily.

so USC vs Illinois - 41-17 USC?

so LSU vs OSU - 34-21 LSU?

so UF vs Michigan - 56-24 UF?

I don't think either UF or Michigan puts up that many points, but for the most part, yeah, those are pretty reasonable projections

Is it written in stone yet that Illinois will go? That's extraordinary in and of itself.

BTW, I agree OSU and IL will both be at a disadvantage, but let's not forget that both games will basically be home games for LSU & USC. HUGE advantages in fan support

#1 Michigan can't stop spread offenses.

#2 Florida's defense isn't great and Michigan will get plenty of opportunities against them -- because the Florida offense will score so quickly.

im confused as to why LSU is going to easily beat OSU. Maybe because its a home game, but thats about it.

Well, I'm not certain they'll beat them handily, but given that there is a month to get heathly and LSU's talent is generally thought to be about the best in the country, it all adds up to LSU being more heavily favored. All that and LSU is more than battle tested against a much tougher schedule in a tougher (maybe over-rated, but tougher nonetheless) conference.

With Kansas seemingly dropping out of the top four and therefore not getting an auto bid, I'd guess that Missouri would go to a BCS game.

Also an off chance that the BCS picks Florida over Georgia if somehow USC or Virginia Tech bumps them from the top 4 of the computers. Not likely, though.

Georgia is ranked fourth in the coaches' poll. If the Harris voters follow suit, they should remain in the top four.
