so, should Hawaii's ranking go down even if they win?

Probably not. BC lost and most of the teams below them were either idle or lost.

If Hawaii wins tonight, they get an automatic berth. Yikes.

Does anyone else think it's horsecrap that a 15 yard personal foul penalty and and 5 or 10 yard penalty offset? They're clearly not equal penalties so why should they offset? IMO, they should do the net yardage on the penalty. So a 15 yard penalty against the defense combined with a 10 yard penalty against the offense should result in a 5 yard gain for the offense. Mainly my beef with this is when a personal foul penalty is offset by a minor penalty.

EDITED for clarification.

Agreed. I also hate when you get a half the distance penalty against the defense and then a 5 yard full penalty against the offense. I didn't think that was an "absolute late hit" though.

go for two?

They'll probably be in the Sugar, right? I seem to remember someone saying that.

That's the most likely scenerio if they win tonight.

Jeez, Glanville looks different than I thought he used to be.

My favorate Glanville quote:

"This is the NFL, which stands for "Not For Long" when your making those (bleep) calls, I'll be at home, selling groceries."

I wonder if he still reserves tickets for anyone who can prove they're Elvis?

And Washington gets jobbed on a call. Locker was behind the line when he threw that ball.

what's the rule? it was released ahead of the line but the qb was behind the line when he started throwing. i'm watching the game on mute so i didn't hear if it was explained.

HAHA, you can challenge that play. Willingham and UW must not have known that. I remember in the Indiana-Northwestern game earlier this year, IU's QB was originally ruled behind the line and threw a TD pass, but Northwestern challenged it and the replay showed that the QB passed the line. The TD was wiped away.

Talk about a break.

i know everyone thinks colt brennan is a system qb, but he's really accurate

I'd seriously consider him at the end of the first round or any point in the second round if I'm a team looking for a QB. He has the arm and size to be a successful QB in the NFL. You have to look beyond his numbers because of the system he plays in, but he's still a really intriguing prospect.

One of the announcers said he thought Locker was behind the line when he threw it so I would assume the rule is where your feet are.

why are the announcers talking up hawaii so much? is someone buying it?

He needs to throw overhand though. It looks like he just flings the ball in there sometimes. But I think that can be worked on.

To be down 21-0 by a BCS team to get 28-28, they deserve the credit. It's just like, IMHO, Boise St. last year. On paper, they may not have a chance against a certain team, but that's why we play the games.
