This is a strangely enjoyable game.

I don't think this speaks well regarding Hawaii's talent, though...

No. Not at all.

I can't believe that nobody scored in the third quarter.

Okay, let's assume the Fighting Willinghams win this game (of all the top teams losing, this is the most surprising to me):

NC - OSU v. LSU (for all the reasons listed above)

Locked-in picks:

Orange - Va Tech

Rose - USC

Fiesta - Oklahoma

At-large picks:

Rose 1st (losing OSU), Sugar 2nd (losing LSU), Fiesta, Orange, Sugar

Rose picks Illinois, assumedly, to preserve the Big 10/Pac-10 matchup.

Sugar picks Georgia (auto-bid) since they're a semilocal team and will travel well.

Fiesta is the really big question - they can pick between Arizona State, Kansas (auto-bid), Boston College and Clemson to face Oklahoma. If I had a wild guess I'd say they'd take ASU (local), leaving the

Orange picking Kansas.

The Sugar takes Clemson or Boston College (I'd assume BC if they're eligible).

I have to think if the fiesta skips on KU, the Orange takes Mizzou (unless KU is in the top 4 and a mandatory BCS team.)

edit: nevermind, you do have KU as the autobid.

Oh holy crap I forgot West Virginia. Good call Andy.

The Sugar takes them, not BC.

While ASU would sell tickets, they don't sell hotel rooms or bring money into the city. I wouldn't be shocked if the Fiesta passed on ASU.

I wouldn't be either, but the only issue is, for whom do they pass them up? Although OU and Kansas didn't play in the regular season, I wouldn't expect they'd be too jacked about what is basically a plus-one conference title game.

before today it would have been illinois . . . what about West Virginia? I can't imagine they travel too well. None of the teams to draw from are too desirable, which is why I'm fairly sure the Rose will take Illinois.

this U-Dub QB cannot pass worth a crap.

UW is not good.

ATTN: Return Men

Unless your name is Devin Hester, you are not Devin Hester. Quit trying to pull crap like running backwards on punt and kick returns. You are not fast/agile/smart enough to pull it off.

so, should Hawaii's ranking go down even if they win?

That pretty much sums it up.

Oh, and I can't stand it when people pronounce it "Warshington" like the ref just did.

Davone Bess is pretty good in his own right.

Does anyone else think it's horsecrap that a 15 yard personal foul penalty and and 5 or 10 yard penalty offset? They're clearly not equal penalties so why should they offset? IMO, they should do the net yardage on the penalty. So a 15 yard penalty against the defense combined with a 10 yard penalty against the offense should result in a 5 yard gain for the offense. Mainly my beef with this is when a personal foul penalty is offset by a minor penalty.

EDITED for clarification.
