For the sake of all the viewers please limit the Big Ten to the 4 top teams in the tourney. Florida shouldn't be in either honestly.

Florida is still the two time defending champions. If they are on the bubble I say let them in.

the officiating wasn't great for us in manhattan. And one of those Beasley fouls was a foul, just a cheapie.

Did the officiating take your two best players out of the game?

Conference tournaments don't start until Tuesday, but Cornell locked up the Ivy today. First time since 1988 Penn or Princeton didn't win it. 19-5 (12-0) probably puts them at a 14 seed right now.

We're a different team. We don't have 2 guys head and shoulder above the rest. But I believe DA sat quite a bit of that game. I don't know why you act like only a few teams have big homecourt advantages, though. UI gets a ton of calls at Assembly Hall.

Ok. My KU friend has even been texting me about how bad this is because he wanted to play them at full strength.

I would, too. I don't want them to have any excuses.

I think it's more because he would like to see you guys finally beat a good team this year. I argue that USC is a good team.

As would I. Arizona isn't bad either. But win or lose, I don't know if KSU at home is a huge feather in our cap anymore.

They have played their way on to the bubble. Speaks volumes about Martin's coaching ability. Give him MJ and his prime with Beasley he gets to a sweet 16.

Hey Illini fans, since when do you guys make free throws? 16-19? WTF?

We go 16-27 from the FT (everyone but Tony was 3-12) line and 3-16 from 3.

The wins and losses don't mean much but this team has regressed in the last 3 weeks. We were sitting at 4-6 after beating Ohio State and it looked like 8-10 was a certainty with our remaining schedule and the improvement we were showing.

I'm sure part of it is due to the 6-7 man rotation all Big Ten season, but it's frustrating when it looked like a solid foundation was being laid.

Well our bubble is burst. Very ugly game. We couldn't do anything against ISU's zone.

Quarterfinal game against UNI on Friday before likely playing ISU again on Saturday. Ugh.

I've heard people say things like that in the past and disagreed but not this season. I'm right with you on that one.

KU won. I don't think the foul trouble was a game-changing factor, though tadowdaddy might disagree. For me, the biggest factors were Bill Walker's inability to compose himself/play well under adversity and KU's 3pt shooting. Beasley looked slightly rattled (for Beasley), but overall he was as cool as a cucumber. Hard to believe he's 19 or whatever. KSU's looking at 2 must wins at the end of the season and probably at least 1-1 in the Big XII tourney to be guaranteed an NCAA berth.

As far as KU goes, I dunno. The team frustrates me. I've seen teams that lose focus from game to game. This team has dramatic intensity spikes within games, though. It's baffling. Hopefully tonight signaled the return of Sherron Collins and an overall fiercer attitude. And say what you want about Sasha Kaun, the guy always gives it his all. I wish he were a bit more fluid.

What the last two Florida teams did should be completely irrelevant to whether THIS year's team gets in. They need to be judged by the same criteria as everybody else. It would be unfair for a team to be left out because another team was given preferential treatment because of what happened in the past.

Please don't lose to Illinois today Hawkeyes.

haha, the illini can still play defense, at least.

At least they played like they wanted to be there. How we could be that flat on senior's day against a rival is beyond me.

Oh and you were smart enough to get it to Pruitt when he had position. We were allergic to getting Tate the ball.

Still the free throws were just baffling and ultimately, maybe the difference in the game.

can't be bad all the time, and you definitely can't be depending upon a team missing free throws to get a win.

Fresman PG Talor Battle had 28 points and 13 boards for PSU last night. was also like 10 of 13 from the floor.

6 conference wins isn't bad for a team that lost it's best player after 2 conference games. If Claxton hadn't been hurt, I think PSU could have gone at least 8-8 in conference if not 9-7
