These Purdue guys are pretty good.

They can win the damn big ten and the BTT and I won't call them the best team in the conference.

Who is though? I really can't look at one Big 10 team and say that they're the best team in the conference. Purdue, MSU, and Indiana all have some pretty serious faults. They're decent teams, but I don't think the Big 10 has one great/elite team. Save this for tournament time because I'm sure one of those three will prove me wrong.

I think you're right. One of those teams likely will advance pretty far in the tournament, but I don't think that will necessarily make them elite. There are no elite teams in the Big Ten.

A.J. Ratliff left the Indiana program for good today to deal with some personal things. He may have been frustrating over his four years with Indiana, but he always played hard. I'm sorry to see his senior season be such a waste with the ineligibility first semester, the lack of confidence on the court, and now this. Hopefully his personal issues can be worked out whatever they are and he can live a productive life outside of basketball.

Really sucks for him. He's a guy I had high hopes for coming out of HS. He was Indiana Mr. Basketball. 4-star recruit. 6'3" supposedly with pure PG skills. He never developed as a ball handler. He did become a pretty good shooter though for this first 3 years. I also expected him to grow more to about 6'6", consider he has the arms of a 6'9" person. He stuck with the program through the Davis firing. He was one of two 4-year seniors this year and was coming off of a season where he averaged double figures in points. I wish him the best, and hope this team can focus once and for all with hopefully no more distractions this year.

Well, I guess UK's modest winning streak is coming to an end. Down by 31 at the start of the 2nd half will do that.

Was it UK that came back from 31 or 33 down against LSU years back or was it vice versa?

UK came back from that one. I was still in HS, so I'm almost positive it was '93.

wtf is going on? i'm in the library, and haven't been watching the game. my local high school team could score more than 11 points in a half.

I'm assuming my fav. Library? I only got to use Young for one semester (those book shelves spooked me  )

I'm not watching it, but what a way to lay an egg.

Not every day you look at the scoreboard and see Vandy 55, Kentucky 14.

Hahahhaha.

EDIT: Sorry UK fans, I don't even particularly dislike UK, besides the obvious history with Rupp, but scores like that always make me laugh.

Vandy still isn't very good.

Trent Meacham is 5-5 from 3s(6-6 overall). It would be nice if next year he had a few of these games against top opponents.

EDIT: And I do think he will if only because we'll have Jamar and Legion(for half a year) to take the pressure off of him. On the current team, he's the only true outside threat, so it's not difficult to keep a man on him. Even so, he's had quite a few open looks against the good teams and just clanged it up.

the court at Vanderbilt has to be the most [expletive] thing i've ever seen. Why is the court like 15 feet too big on every side, and then also 3 feet off the floor?

My gosh, UK had like 15 points with 15 mins left in the game. And have been losing by as much as 43.

Wow. This is bad. :?

Granted, I haven't seen many Illinois games the last 2 years, but in the games I have seen, it seems as Illini fans frustration should be directed at him moreso than Chester Frazier. I mean, his only talent is the ability to shoot the ball from outside. But he's gone down in 3pt % every year, and he's at a barely respectable 37% this year.

Not often a team scores 41 in the second half and loses by 41. Wow. Sorry UK fans.

Memorial Coliseum in Nashville is typically a very difficult place for visitors to get wins. It's easily a top 3 Home Court Advantage in the SEC, behind Rupp and now Thompson Boling Arena.

Bitter much? Given that scenario who would be the best team in the Big Ten?

Yeah because he is the only guy on the team who is allowed to shoot from the outside. The more McCamey plays the better Meachem whoud look, after all a true point guard always help a spot up shooter.

ESPN's reporting that IU potentially faces major violations. They are also reporting that the NCAA has discovered new information -- which should be the only way major violations is even discussed. If so, I hope Sampson, Greenspan and every other myopic imbecile that had a hand in Sampson's hiring is unceremoniously fired.

Oh, and that Kentucky team which is so terrible is still 6-3 in the SEC. The SEC is garbage.

Its pretty much to a point to where you expect him to get busted for something some time soon. Its just a matter of time.

I really hope that this involves the recruitment of one guard on their team.
