What the hell? Supossedly Bulls shot down some type of deal becaues it would have resulted in the Cavs getting Bibby? (just mentioned this on the score..just a rumor I think) I hope not.

I cannot imagine this as being true. Cavs + Bibby < Bulls + Kobe

Well to be fair, you forgot to add another factor on the Cavs + Bibby side...

Not really. The Cavs, as currently constructed, with Bibby, are inferior to the Bulls with Kobe minus whatever we trade for him.

Tyrus is Shawn Kemp with a more athletic body. Keep him over Noah if at all possible.

His ceiling is much higher than Deng's.

Tonight just further illustrated the need for a guy like Kobe over a guy like Deng (yes I realize Kobe wants no part of a Deng-less Bulls team). We can't dribble to create shots or attack the rim. If you can't do that, you can't get to the line and if you can't get to the line, aggressive defenses will eat you alive every night of the week.

Give them Hinrich please. He is overrated as hell. Tunovers, cant shoot, and cant stay out of foul trouble. Please take him LA

He's Pax and Skile's boy.

Skiles might be losing a little patience with him. He semi-called him out in today's papers.

I'm losing patience with him too. How many years in the league now? Still can't stay out of foul trouble, still with the stupid turnovers all the damn time?

I want to like the kid, but I think he's maxxed out now and the end result just isn't all that great. I view him as a good complimentary player, not much more.

That would be a nice change. He usually rides Gordon like a mule and gives Hinrich a pass.

Somebody better start doing something. If this continues I could easily see Kobe just saying "screw it" --- who wants to come to a team that started 1-10, maybe what? 5-20? Who knows where this crap is heading?

Kobe's really driving this thing. He might very well just pull out and stay with the Lakers, making all this trade talk moot.

Some players need to be teated differently depending on what drives them.

He's always given Gordon a short leash while he gives Hinrich and Duhon all the breaks in the world.

I've gotten the same vibe from Kirk. Just how much further can he go? He can't shoot well, he makes a lot of mistakes, and when we're behind late in games, he becomes a hog that chucks up everything imaginable.

I really, really hope so.

i think this is as good as Hinrich gets.

I agree.

I also agree with Cuse's point that people are motivated in different ways. That said, I don't recall Skiles calling Hinrich out in the press before this year, and he has had some really crappy games. Duhon has been awful at times also. I don't think its useful to air people out publicly no matter what they are motivated by.

This is off topic, but I really hate the lack of Bulls discussion. Nobody is posting at 2ndcityhoops, and discussion here is nowhere near where it was last year when we had the Chicago Bulls thread. I really think we should keep Bulls talk here, but thats my opinion.

EDIT: I have no idea what happened here

I was actually going to suggest the opposite, that those of us posting in this thread participate in a moratorium to encourage people to use Secondcityhoops. That way there will at least be some discussion on there so when I (or others, for that matter) direct outsiders there for some good chat, there will be some good chat.

if that team (in it's prime) had faced a team with a 6'6" receiver who ran a 4.3/40 they would poop their pants

Ummm, huh? :D
