This is off topic, but I really hate the lack of Bulls discussion. Nobody is posting at 2ndcityhoops, and discussion here is nowhere near where it was last year when we had the Chicago Bulls thread. I really think we should keep Bulls talk here, but thats my opinion.

if that team (in it's prime) had faced a team with a 6'6" receiver who ran a 4.3/40 they would poop their pants

Ummm, huh? :D

wow, FTH happened? I posted that in the Shula thread

I was actually going to suggest the opposite, that those of us posting in this thread participate in a moratorium to encourage people to use Secondcityhoops. That way there will at least be some discussion on there so when I (or others, for that matter) direct outsiders there for some good chat, there will be some good chat.

Hey Id be all for that, but right now its dead there. Hell the last game thread had like 4 posts lol. I just remember last years thread, and there was alot of talk in there before, during, and after games.

I agree. I liked the idea of a site for the Bulls, but for now, I think we should keep the discussion here. It's different with the Bears because they had such a following on here last year. Game threads approached 20 pages a week when the Bears played. There were some Bulls games last year where there were only about 2-3 posts during a game. And that was fine because we had a whole thread dedicated to the Bulls season. I'd be on 2nd City Hoops, but it's just completely dead there...for now.

And Bucher just said that the Lakers hot start isn't really keeping Kobe happy in LA. Good news, good news.

Its going to be interesting if the Bulls lose tonight, to see if the fans start the Kobe chant again. Apparently some players didnt take too kindly to that, but oh well they look like they have half assed it in every game this year. Noah is back tonight, and Skiles has said he will probably take minutes away from Wallace if his injury is still bothering him. To put this season in perspective so far...Ben Gordon has 20 defensive rebounds on the season compared to Wallace's 3.

i love the irony in the idea that "Second City Hoops is dead so I won't go there". And it's going to stop being dead how?

I didnt say I wouldnt go there, but we either need to stop all Bulls discussion here, and direct everything there, or just say the hell with Second City Hoops, and just do what we have always done.

yeah, Paxon you better do whatever it takes to get Kobe. But I have no faith in this idiot GM anymore.

His inability to make a trade with some good, young trade chips is really what irritates me.

That and the fact that he's not going to fire Skiles. We can get off to an 0-25 start, and Skiles' job security will be as solid as a rock.

Wow, talk about freaking out. Don't come back on the bandwagon when they get hot and start playing well or jump back on Pax's jock if he makes a trade for Kobe.

0-4...sucks, but not a huge deal. We always suck coming out of the gate. Not to make excuses, but our bigs have been banged up and a lot of other players seem distracted. They shouldn't be...but that's how they seem to be playing.

0-4...sucks, but not a huge deal. We won 49 games last year after starting 0-9. Not to make excuses, but our bigs have been banged up and a lot of other players seem distracted. They shouldn't be...but that's how they seem to be playing.

The 0-9 start wasn't last year. Heck, it wasn't even two years ago.

I'm not worried yet either. But the faults on this team are so obvious. No one can take over a game for us in the closing moments. We had a 4 point lead with 3 minutes to go, and we went into a huge drought. Which brings up another one of our weakness--scoring droughts. We have way too many of them. Skiles weird ass rotations need to stop too. That Duhon-Thabo-Deng-Noah-Smith lineup was an eyesore.

Yeah, you're right. I don't know what I was thinking. Class/work from 8am until 11pm isn't fun. How could I forget the beat down we put on the Heat in Miami to kick off the season last year. Regardless, I wasn't able to watch tonights game, but I agree with you that they go into scoring droughts far too frequently and they last far too long. This is why we need a superstar (Kobe). When we're having trouble scoring, we need someone who can drive to the hoop and get fouled. We don't have that player. All that said, I don't think Pax is an "idiot". He's made some bad moves, but he's also made some good ones. I really wish we would have kept Chandler and never signed Wallace. The drafting of TT is also questionable, but I'm not even gonna go there.

I still have faith in Pax and in this team. We have a good, young nucleus. They are gonna start to play much better and be one of the top 4 teams in the east when all is said and done. Hopefully along the way Pax can swing a deal for Kobe, but that's a lot easier said than done.

I think that anybody who wants to trade for Kobe should be forced to take on Kwame Brown as well. It's only fair.

Id take on Kwame Brown, if it meant the Lakers take Ben Wallace. Seriously, Im tired of hearing about him being hurt. If hes hurt then get his ass off the floor, as hes doing nothing to help us win games. Going into last nights game, Ben Gordon had 20 defensive rebounds thru 3 games compared to 3 for Ben Wallace. Yes you read that right, Ben Wallace had 3 damn defensive rebounds in 3 games, what a joke. Also, somebody needs to tell Ben Gordon the season has started as well.

And why in the hell did Noc only play 10 mins last night? Seriously Skiles wake the hell up, and start playing your best players, and stop putting dumbass lineups out there.

The one decent thing that came of last nights games, was at least Hinrich looked like an NBA player again, although his shooting and shot selection still suck.

Are there still Bulls fans who think this team is championship caliber going strictly with their "core" group?

Has there really been that many who have said they were? I know alot of Bulls fans, like myself, thought they could get to the Easter Conference finals with their core group. I dont think many people would say they were championship caliber when talking about the NBA title, but I believed they could win the East(before this year when the East was pretty weak). Coming into this year however, I felt things needed to be shaken up a little, since the East got stronger over the off season.

I think we are going to be stuck in the dreaded NBA limbo. Not good enough to seriously contend...but not bad enough to get a high lottery pick.

At least you guys aren't in as bad a position as the Pacers. Man, that team is so freaking screwed for many years to come. I think they're the definition of NBA limbo, except they have a shot at being bad enough to get a good pick.

And yet, the Pacers are 3-0.

i'm not as high on Deng as some others are. I think you have to keep him, but he'll never be a superstar. if you want to make an analogy, he Deng might be Scottie Pippen, but until he has a Michael Jordan to play with him, he'll never lead the team anywhere

If by superstar you mean 30 points etc no he wont be. Deng can and will average 20-25 points 5-7 boards which is pretty damn good. You put Kobe on this team with Deng, and I think the 2 of them would work beautifully together. Dengs ability to slash to the basket would finally be used how it should.
