He makes more in a year than I will in a lifetime. I bought DeRosa's jersey. I'm the one who is sorry; I helped contribute to his wealth. And what did I get in return?

Nice.

Yeah that DP was the last point at which we could have done something to at least win one game. I don't blame Mark. I know he blames himself but how many other times did we have RISP in this series and couldn't squeeze out a big hit?

Just a bad series. It was frustrating to see our "experienced" guys play so tight and their "inexperienced" guys play so damn loose. It's like, if I ever hear another analyst bring up the "veteran" card in the playoffs again I think I will reach through the TV and choke the bastard. It means 100% nothing.

This series was our year in a nutshell. When we are hot we look like we are going to the World Series. When we are cold we can't even beat the Marlins.

God I love Mark DeRosa. The funny part is; he's a true Cubs. Predictable. I knew as soon as he grounded into that double play (and I stopped screaming obscenities) that something like this would show up on his blog. He's just a class individual.

When I first saw this thread I thought Mark_R was apologizing for getting drunk so early yesterday.

This is what I was thinking as well.

i'm not sure if this my first post or not...but it won't be my last. I am a loooooooooooooooooong time lurker, and why i start the day AFTER the cubs season ends, i'm not sure.

But i'll be a regular poster from here on out. (there's your warning....)

The one thing I LOVED about Michael Barrett was that he cared. He felt it was a privledge to play for the Cubs and wear that uniform. I respect that.

I feel the same way about Mark DeRosa. Its evident he really cares.

While i am deeply distraught that we lost and now are 100 years going, I'm glad that there are guys on that roster that just don't go through the motions and pick up a check and go. DeRosa really cares. That means something to me.

He's been man enough to do all the interviews and now to post his blogs for everyone to see and to rip apart.

Great site guys....i look forward to be a bigger part of it from here on out.

Welcome to the site. I lurked here a long time too.

I got DeRo's jersey exactly because I see the same qualities in him as you. Yeah, I am mad, pissed, and everything else it's possible to feel. Despite my earlier post I think he is a good guy, and i will proudly display his jersey in my den.

Oh well, hockey has started.
