Just win the damn game! Are we really going to lose 10 straight games to the flippin' Marlins? The tide has to turn sometime. Right?!?!?

Please just salvage one game out of this series, take two of three from the Griffeyless/Dunnless Reds and who cares what the Brewers do. Although it was funny to see Ned Yost get thrown out of his 3rd game in 4 days last night.

Can we just win one and they lose one on the same day so my head doesn't explode?

Thanks.

thanks for the good laugh this morning buddy

Trachsel today with the Reds drooling over their chance to screw us this weekend. why do i feel such dread?

it goes along with being a cub fan. For the sake of your kids, let them root for someone else.

It was a joke right...they seriously are not still gonna start Trachsel today? Are they? Please tell me no.

And this one made me laugh out loud.

Thanks, I needed that

(yep, they're really gonna start Trax)

Why not start Hart tonight??? Oh I forgot..Its about " Experience"..It dosent matter if your a washed up bum like Kendall or Trachsel who blows. But you have the almighty " Experiece " the 7.00 ERA and .240 average dosen't matter as long as you have " Experience" Great job Lou..Kendall really teared it up last night with his experience....Almost as stupid as Izturis driving in runs with his glove.

Lou is worlds better than Dusty, but this is one area where they're very similar.

At least I won a month of premium yesterday. I'd much rather have a Cubs win today, though.

Getting a free month of premium and still getting the magic number down by one isn't half-bad, though.

True. Although I'd like it at no more than 2 tonight, though.

My old coworker (who went to school with him) said that Scott Olsen's a diehard Cubs fan. Hopefully he pitches a bad game to help us out. I can always pray can't I?

I read a story about that with him saying he was out on Waveland during the 2003 NLCS. After that he said something along the lines of "I guess they really never will win anything" Something about a curse too I think. He sucks.

And he's a jerk.

Okay, so I was thinking about it this morning and I really do think we're going to clinch this thing tomorrow in Cincy. I think (somehow, despite a Trachsel start) we win tonight, and the Brewers lose game 1 to the Padres.

Leaving the door wide open for a Division clincher tomorrow vs. the reds.

So; yeah. Plz?

at which time I do a 180 and start rooting for the Brewers as I want no part of the Padres pitching staff in the playoffs.

why? the cubs have shown the ability to hit at least respectfully against talented pitchers. it's the joe blows that give them fits. i'd be worried about the phillies pitching staff.

these macro generalizations are great fun, but the fact is the current set of Cubs have pretty much sucked throughout their careers against Peavy, Young, and Maddux, and the core of their pen has gone about 20 scoreless innings against the Cubs this year.

This explains why Lou struck with Traschel

Trachsel is 10-12 with a 3.78 ERA against the Marlins and 5-3 with a 3.36 ERA in Miami. He was 3-0 with a 2.00 ERA against Florida last season.

Ya I just heard about that. We all know how Lou is obsessed with stats

Too bad he doesn't have the same obsession with rookie's stats that are better than their veteran counterparts.
