You better tank it Olsen.

And lets rescue a friggin' game from the season series.

For cryin' out loud.

If Cubs lose again, it'll be 9 straight Vs. the Marlins... Dating back to last season.

Crazy stuff happens. Mets lose the almighty Nationals still makes me laugh... Ted Lilly loses, Marquis loses... And somehow Trachsel will get the win.

That's baseball for ya'.

I have never wanted Steve Trachsel to not suck more than right now.

I can not honestly say the same thing. There once was a time when it was win or go home. That doesn't apply tomorrow.

I was set pretty firmly in the "for the love of soto, PLEASE don't suck trachsel" corner sometime around game 163 of 98, but I think i agree with you nonetheless.

I can't believe Steve Trachsel is getting a start in an important game. Lou's lost his mind.

Especially when Hill could go on proper rest.

If Lou wants to "set the playoff rotation," wouldn't it make sense to start Hill now and have him fresh when they started the postseason, rather than pitch him saturday?

I'm guessing Lou is thinking that he doesn't want Hill to have too many days off before he starts. Even if Sunday's game matters and the Cubs have to throw Lilly, the earliest Hill would start would be Thursday for Game 2 and potentially wouldn't start until Saturday for Game 3 if Sunday's game doesn't matter. So if Hill goes tomorrow and then not until the next Saturday he would have 8 days rest where as if he goes this Saturday then he would go on normal rest if he had to pitch Thursday for Game 2 and 6 days rest if he pitched Game 3.

Remind me to read that in the morning...

Gotta beat the Marlins sometime. Hopefully it happens today...

It's insane we've lost, what, 9 straight to them now??!!?

Cabrera hits 4 homers...in the first inning.

Trachsel bombs and Lou will somehow act shocked.

I can't wait.

Go Padres.

Trachsel will be on a very short leash. Expect to see the Hart man early.
