If I was putting together the lineup for tonight with those 8 players:

 

Soriano

Floyd

Lee

Ramirez

Derosa

Jones

Kendall

Theriot

Marquis.

 

Kendall at the 2, Floyd at 5, DeRosa at 6, Jones at 7, imo.

 

Not a fan of Floyd batting cleanup.

 

You do realize that Kendall's little hot streak is long gone, don't you? He's hitting .232/.328/.286 over the last 28 days, .204/.304/.265 in September. He's a terrible option in the 2 hole.

 

Yeah, fair point as Ping pointed out too. Was looking at the wrong month for Kendall's splits when I was checking out ESPN. I'd go with DeRosa at the 2 and I still think it's awful to have an inferior power hitter like Floyd in the cleanup spot just to have the lineup go R-L-R.
