Just win, dammit.

Bingo

I don't know why people are freaking about the Brewers - b/c they won one game? We control our own destiny and that 's all you can ask for.

60 percent chance of showers tonight. Yikes! Hopefully they'll get this game in. We don't need any DH this time of the year.

i think the chance of rain and a little sogginess are going to be around for this whole series...

since it is late in the season...won't they try really hard to get these games in?

crap...i am going tonight...uhhh...they better play this damn game

I believe the Cubs have a real good chance at winning two of three (not so sure about Tracshel on Thursday), now, if Cards could somehow just get one from the Brewers...

They better take 2/3. If they can't go 4-2 these last 6 games they may not make it...Cards look like a sweep and the Padres are a sinking ship.

if the brewers win seven straight after that disaster in atlanta they probably deserve to make it.

Pretty much.

hell, the cubs are only two back in the wild card standings. if the padres collapse against the brewers and the phillies/rockies have bad weeks the cubs could be the wild card. but probably not.

I'd like to see the Cubs beat the Fish and exercise some demons.

I hear they hate calisthenics.

Ha... I was going in that general vicinity... But I was just going to ask if they were out of shape.

I am so freaking worried that the Cubs will choke this away and get made fun of by every hack sports broadcaster in North America.

Just win please.

realistically, everything is pretty much still wide open for the next few days in the NL

exciting is a good word to use when describing the larger race

high chance of heart failure is a good phrase to sum up the cubs race

Mathematically, the Cubs have about as good of odds to host a first-round division series as they do to relinquish the lead they currently have in the division.

At first I was like, "Um, what?"

Then I re-read and saw the word "host."

So...is this game going to get rained out? Because that would suck.

here is what i am thinking...i live in clearwater, florida

it has been raining here for about the past 5 days...usually during the day and then it is just sporadic and short at night time...

i think it will rain there today, but will be ok by gametime or shortly thereafter...

it is going to wet this whole series...so...they are going to have to try to get them in because it will be pretty hard to get a DH in tomorrow with the daytime rains...

just my thoughts on the matter...i am going tonight because the forecast calls for 90% during the day but that drops to 50% by the evening...and if it does rain at all tonight it will probably just be short bursts...

Yeah, they'll get them in.

You are putting off bad vibes. Please stop.

I'm actually worried that there might be a huge letdown without the Wrigley atmosphere. We'll see how it goes.

Almost all the fans this final week will be Cub fans. Won't be Wrigley, but it will be "Wrigley South"

Plus, I think we need to remember the Marlins have the worst home record in the majors. It's not like they've had a home field advantage at all this year.

There's no logical reason the Cubs should blow this thing. None. Only one thing will do that now: looking over our shoulder, worrying about a team that is desperate for us to worry about them when we don't need to.

That's the only thing that will stop us. Essentially, ourselves.
