At least the Brewers play nice and early today so I wont have to worry about whats going on in game day while The Cubs are making me nervous enough.

Hill vs. Albers huh? We missed out on mediocre Lefty Patton and get mediocre righty Albers. Hopefully the offense can capitilize on this little gift, and hopefully Hill can rebound from his last dismal start. The last thing we want is Trashel being the only thing standing between the Disastros and a sweep. Theriot gets a needed day off, but Cedeno in the lineup doesnt exactly make it easy. Id rather have Eric "Mr. Punctuality" Patterson at SS. Tennessees done, so why not?

Soriano, Lee, and Ramirez need to really step it up today. I dont care what they did the other day. The good news is Lidge likely wont be available tonight. The better news is Dempster likely wont be available tonight.

HAW-HAW-HAW!

Oh, wait, that's terrible news.

Especially since Howry and Marmol are likely not available since they each went 2 innings. So all 3 of our best relievers are sitting.

Oh good...another game not on TV. I sure hope the Sox are on to add to the fun.

The Cubs game is on WGN tonight.

It is...thanks! I saw the CST and thought it was the other channel the Cubs are usually on.

We have to win every one of our remaining games to go 91-71.

SO yeah, I don'tthink we're gonna make it.

That was my prediction before the year started and I've heard that the Cubs hired a video guy from the New England area so it still has a good chance of coming true!

Last night left me with a vaguely disgusted feeling. Granted, it didn't feel like a kick in the nuts in the same way some of the other games have this season, especially since it was a given that the Cubs were going to blow it in extra innings, but it made me realize that watching games like that are a waste of time and energy.

I'm taking a break from watching the Cubs. If they're still in it come Monday, then I'll go back to watching these games.
