And this is why we needed bullpen help....

 

cubs are middle of the pack in most of the bullpen pitching categories, and that's with a horrendous start to the year. They've been really good the past 2 months. If it were up to you, we'd have no minor league system any more because everyone would've been traded for veteran help.

Howry and Demp and Marmol, they've pitched a bunch lately though

Also, a bullpen isn't supposed to be able to shut a team down for 6+ innings.

Man, we could use another first baseman too. I mean, we can't have him ground into a double play and a near double play in successive AB's late in the game, can we? And DeRosa flying out in the eighth? DFA him. Ramirez only getting one hit? Gone.
