Barretts shorcomings have been obscured by a myriad of other problems though...that and he has always been given the benefit of the doubt by reporters since he has been a stand up guy. I think Barrett was a quality person but a liability as a catcher.

I'm not "crapping" on him. Would it or would it not have been nice for him to show the same discipline he exhibited earlier in the game in the at bat in the 7th? That's my only point.

I'd sure like to see how the pirates have played other teams in th NL central compared to us. They seem to play us hard whatever the standings, maybe the cubs just have a way of making crappy teams look good.
