I was listening on Gameday audio when i heard Pat say "THAT BALL IS DRIVEN..." after I heard Ron starting to scream in the background, i dropped my headphones and yelled to the crowd of cubicles "RAMIREZ WALKOFF CUBS WIN" as the entire office started to rumble

must..... hear.... radio.... call

+1.

Sad to say I pulled a "Hawk" when it was hit and just screamed out "GET UPPPPP!"

Ramirez hopping down to first was awesome.

so he'll pry be thrown at tomorrow, correct?

Aramis wasn't showboating. He was hopping and hoping, it least that's how I viewed it. Considering how many balls the wind has knocked down today, I don't think Aramis was 100% sure it was leaving the park.

CUBS are 0-18 when they trail by 2 runs or more at the end of 7 innings.

Go CUBS !!

in other words, turn game off now

Hey.... we're due, no ??

:bluekoolaid:

statistically we are due...whether that works in cubbie world or not...well...we will find out shortly

anytime you think the cubs are statistically due for something, just think about 1908, and you'll realize that "statistically due" means nothing for this franchise.

Thanks. I was thinking something along those lines, but wouldn't have put it as well.

while i realize the significance of this informational analysis...winning a world series is a bit different than coming back from a two run deficit...the stats on those two things work a bit differently

what a win baby!!! what a win!!!!

1-18

Ok I have a question...

I accidentally trashed my good Cubs hat (motorcycle + thunderstorm = bad) last thursday on my way home from work. Since then they've run off 7 in a row. Was that some sort of evil reverse-lucky hat, and do I have to wait until the streak breaks to go buy a new one?

I knew back in the 3rd when I called this win this game wasn't over. They've been playing too well to give up. They always make a run, and lately they've been finishing them.

Awesome

I probably didn't describe it as well as I could have. The whole process of dropping my headphones to the floor and yelling to the entire office was just all emotions, one of those things that I didn't have time to think about, I just did it.

Don't change a thing. Stay hatless.

Yea, that was celebration, not showboating, though admittedly, I haven't seen it so I'm talking out my arse right now. Given the situation, unless ARam was pointing and laughing, the Brewers probably shouldn't take it as anything but a celebration following an unbelievably exciting moment.
