Ok I have a question...

I accidentally trashed my good Cubs hat (motorcycle + thunderstorm = bad) last thursday on my way home from work. Since then they've run off 7 in a row. Was that some sort of evil reverse-lucky hat, and do I have to wait until the streak breaks to go buy a new one?

Before the homer my wife asked if i wanted to go out to eat. i said give me a while because i ate a crap load of ice cream and my stomach is bloated. after the homer i ran to fridge and grabbed a beer. my belly feels great!

As I said...this team surprises me. I left the game on and washed some dishes, folded some laundry, cleaned my daughter's room while watching closely.

 

I saw the bullpen hold them, but had a disinterest in the game. I did sit down in front of the TV for the ninth to see what would happen....

 

and wow!

 

I really didn't think our bullpen could hold them in check for six innings and thus I didn't think our offense would be able to make up the difference.

 

I just hope this type of play can continue.

 

As I said, I never thought the season was over....I did think the game was over the way Hill had pitched combined with his very early exit.

I had to wash the vinyl siding on my house today. Was so excited by the win I got bleach all over my old style wool hat. :x

 

What the hell! I am ordering a new one. I am not afraid. The Cubs are going to do it, as in sweep the Brewers.
