The Cubs just traded Barrett, despite what they say publicly, probably completely due to the Zambrano incident. I'd say there is about a 0.0000001% chance the Cubs would go after Bradley with his background.

Which is stupid. Bradley is a hot head, but gives you decent production for his contract. I could care less about him playing the race card. It is moronic, but hey this is a free country and he is entitled to his opinion.

All I am saying is if the Cubs were that desperate to get rid of Barrett, there is no chance they pick up a guy who has a history as combustible as Bradley.

I don't see how the two are related. They got rid of Barrett because Lou hated his defensive lapses and baserunning gaffes. And he can't put up with that at catcher. They didn't get rid of him because Zambrano wanted to fight him.

You're probably right, but the fight with Z and argument with Hill didn't help matters.

So your buying Hendry's line that the Zambrano incident had nothing to do with it? I agree that the defensive and baserunning lapses played a role, but I think it is a bit naieve to believe that other issues didn't play some part as well.

He could be instrumental in completeing the Cubs Fight other team, Cubs fight each other, and Cubs fight the crowd, trifecta.

Lol.

Milton just likes to fight. And the first rule about fight club, is that you dont talk about fight club.

I think it's a big naive to think Lou wasn't trying to get Jim to get rid of him long before the incident.

He's an above average fielder at all 3 OF positions, and he consistently produces well for an OF spot offensively(switch hitter too, although he's a good bit better hitting LH).

Buy low.

[Hendry] What is this buy low thing you speak of? Is that when you pay other teams money to take off your hands those players that reached their lowest value (i.e. Sammy Sosa and Michael Barrett)? [Hendry]

Admittedly, I'm a big fan of Milton Bradley's offensive production and his ability to play any outfield position. With that said, he is hurt more often than he's not.

With that said, I'd take him in a heartbeat. But, I don't see Cubs brass doing it.

since he was DFA'd, the A's have 10 days to trade him or release him. Offer them Jacque

Beane would just love his .295... OBP.

I get jealous every time I see that another team has DFA'd someone. It's like watching other kids get candy for Halloween and then looking down at the rock in my bag.

I'd get him and DFA Jones.

I hate this saying, but. . BINGO!! I'll throw in an equally annoying DING DING DING!! and a WA-WA-WOOIE!!

According to ESPN.com's Buster Olney, the Royals have acquired Milton Bradley from the A's for Leo Nunez.

And all I got was this lump of ****
