Sammy just went yard.

i don't care what anyone says, i'll always root for sammy. he was out there putting on a show for the fans every day.

Sammy was there for us Cubs fans when nobody else was... Real Cubs fans should be there for him now.

seriously, during a game at wrigley back in 95 or 96, he sprints out of the dugout at the start of the game and every single fan down the right foul line stood up as he passed them. he proceded to take 6 balls out of his glove and toss them to fans in the right field bleachers. it was awe inspiring.

that was a baseball player right there.

He did that in KC after each inning. Then after the game the idiot ROyals fans threw them back at him in the 9th as a protest. You know cause he corked his bat.

wow, what a bunch of jerks. i'm not a person who loves him blindly or makes excuses for what he's done or allegedly done, but he did a lot for baseball in chicago. we haven't done anything without him.

That's why I don't feel badly for them when the Royals lose 110 games a year.

Obviously it's still early in the year but that Bill James projection for Hill is looking pretty darn good right now.

Except for his 72 walks. The way he's going he might walk under 50.
