Cubs will try and break their three game losing skid against the Magic Wand with our magician on the mound in Rich Hill.

Need to break this losing streak now and start playing some solid baseball again. Would be nice to see Soriano start to earn some 136 million.

GO CUBS!

Rich pitches a perfect game, and the Cubs lose 0 to -1 when Izturis hits a ground ball and runs the bases in reverse.

C'mon Rich Hill! Let's salvage at least 1 game. It would suck to be swept when Oswalt didn't even pitch in the series.

ugly forecast for the game. I hope they get it in and win, I don't want to wait for Friday to see a home victory.

I am torn. I am supposed to go to the game, but don't want to skip class and drive 3 hours each way if it will be cancelled.

If I go I am sure they will call the game. However I know if I decide not to go they will play, and I will miss a great game, because that is how it always seems to work out for me.

Well do the rest of us a favor and go to class!

Just kidding, hope everything works out, whichever you chose.

(It's interesting you mentioning that that's how it 'always works for you'. I just told somebody the other day, for the first time I told anybody, that I thought I was incredible bad luck for the Cubs in Wrigley during Dusty's tenure. I went to about 50 games, and they didn't win a single one. I got to see Clemens first appearance at Wrigley 9 (versus M. Clement). L. I saw Mark Prior throw 8 innings and strike out 17. L. I saw Mark Priors first start back from injury in '04, he went 8 innings. L. Those are just the more memorable ones. The latter two were both blown by Borowski. However, I saw about 8 games at Busch in that timespan and the Cubbies won all 8, though Garciaparra pulled his crotch at one of those. Strange.)

Some things never change. A year when the Cubs were supposed to beat the Astros just becuase, and the Cubs fails to do so.

The fwiggin offense better wake up and score some wuns against Wandy Wodwiguez.

I want to see the Cubs offense actually do something.

I guarantee they wont be shut out.

Never underestimate the ineptitude of the Cubs.

Is the weather going to allow this one to happen?

I think and hope it gets canceled. We can use a regroup and get ready for Cincy...I'd like to start with Rich Hill on Friday...

Game-time temperature: 35°F

Feels like: 25°F

Winds from 1B to 3B at about 15-20 mph. 90% chance of precipitation, mostly rain (though some mixing with snow - especially before the game).

Let's see if they actually get this one in.

These radar images will update on their own:

If that forecast is anywhere near correct, I seriously doubt it.

Looking over the batter/pitcher matchups-if they play, Murton will get the start. He has 4 HR and 7 hits in 19 at bats against Wandy. If you are going to give Ramirez a day off (which I don't now how many days Lou wants people like Ramirez to sit if at all) this would be the day to do it-he's 1 for 15. Lee is 8 for 14 with 2 HR and 8 BB's, and it's too bad Marquis is not pitching tomorrow as he is 5 for 7 with 2 HR.

Rich Hill is our STOPPER. There is no doubt about that.

I agree. I think Rich is going to have a better year than Carlos.

Would not shock me one bit.

Yeah, I definitely don't think Carlos will be the Cubs best pitcher this season.

In that scenerio. Lilly is not a bad #3 at all. Now what to do about #4 and #5, that's the problem.
