The Cubs batters need the wind to be blowing out each home game for them to score any runs. Just like how it was in 04. Seems like this team is built on the 3 run homerun to win ball games.

Wow, Gooz is still in.

Getting stretched for the 5th starter spot. ::crosses fingers::

I would love that.

Going into this series I thought we had a very good chance of sweeping the Astros.

Apparently its the other way around. Who we got pitching tommorow? Hill? I have all the faith in the world that he will pitch a good game but this offense is probably gonna blow again.

...as is any good ball club. I don't think you understand how people score runs.

There is no such thing as "clutch" hitting and "manufacturing runs." At least if there is, its no more efficient that "waiting for the 3 run homer".

Ain't nothing wrong with high OBP and lots of power.

Unfortunately our team is missing both right now.

Has Angel always thrown a cut-fastball or is this something new? I've seen a couple from him today.

Hill is going to throw a CG shutout and still lose with this offense.

You're right, but I think we're built for hitting weak groundballs and hoping for errors.....and strikeouts and hoping the catcher misses the 3rd strike.

no, they need to be patient and hit the ball hard consistently to score runs, as does any other team.

IS Barrett even trying back there?

Can't blame that one on Barrett. Gooz was way off target.

At least bullpen pitcher Rick "Ace" White of the 6.3 something ERA last year will have to come out.

BARRETT IS REALLY SUCKING BEHIND THE PLATE. OMG

Gameday said it was a wild pitch.

If it hits the ground before the catcher, it goes as a wild pitch. I'm guessing it was something that Barrett should have had based on the reactions.

It was but it was right infront of Barrett he turned the wrong way and let it skip away. TERRIBLE move--it hit his glove
