I didn't mean to sound like Capt Obvious in my last post. What I was saying is that all those empty seats and the ugly fan behavior from the end of last year could return pretty quickly if the Cubs continue like this for the next 10 days or so.

Cubs better turn things around pronto or they'll lose the fans in a hurry.

 

but what can they do? we could have the 27 yankees and they wouldn't score. it's the cubs, not the players.

 

I was playing a baseball video game from 04 a few days ago and played as the Cubs and just kept thinking, "how did this team not win the world series?" Its crazy. A lineup of Patterson (when he had a decent year), Walker, Sosa, Alou, Lee, Ramirez, Barrett, Gonzales, with a rotation of Wood, Prior, Zambrano, Maddux, Clement. That was such a good team and we didn't even make the playoffs.

The Mets have played .5 game less than the Cubs and already have a 18 run advantage on the Cubs.

 

 

Why did I make that bet? (6.5 game spread on the Mets/Cubs win totals.)

no, that's the worst part.

 

We just took the over/under for Mets wins (90.5) and Cubs wins (84.5), then gave me a .5 game advantage to help out.

 

I used to do some great bets with him and won every year, but haven't done one in a while.
