This is ridiculous. The Cubs have to play better at home. I don't want to hear about the wind blowing in from Len, Lou, or anyone else.

I like how MB settled down Eyre that inning. Eyre really turned it around after that mound visit.

 

He sure does have great intangibles.

Fonzie's OPS down .558. I know he'll heat up eventually but this has been brutal so far. It's like he's still on vacation.

 

Soriano is the posterboy for why you don't draft a guy onto your fantasy team who just signed a massive contract.

 

That and he's on the wrong side of 30, just had a career year, and never was a big OBP guy.

 

There were no illusions (at least for me) on what kind of commodity he was.

Yeah I've said I believe it will be one of the worst contracts in the history of pro sports but even so he's a helluva lot better than what he's shown so far. I'm sure he'll have a few impressive hot streaks this year.

Hm, this could be one of those situations where a closer fails because he's not pitching in a save situation.
