Food for thought..

I'm well aware that Jones had a good year last year, at least against RHP. That's why we should have traded him in the off-season. I'm more than happy to put Murton's .350 OBP in the 2 hole against RHP or LHP.

Please stop with the Murton man crushes! I like the guy too but goodness, he'll get his chance. It's not like has been killing the ball or getting on base any other way. It's game 8.

No he won't get his chances. He's on the wrong end of 70/30 platoon until Lou starts to play him.

That's only if there is a strict platoon which Lou has already said isn't in the plans.

Please stop with the "he'll get his chance" talk! Unless you have the inside info from Lou that says Murton is going to get 500 ABs this year, how do you really know that?

Man I hate when people tell others what they can and can't post.

Hypocritical in your own post.

You missed the point. You conveniently cut out his post, which I was quoting, to show just how dumb it is to tell people what they can't post.

You know it's sad when I turned off the game after Jones's double play in the 1st inning thinking "Today's one of those days."

Oh well, I have to go paint anyway.

What's sad is how many "one of those days" times we have

Actually, you know what, I'll post that I want Murton to play pretty much whenever I feel like it. I think Murton should be hitting 2nd. He has a .350 OBP (which this team needs, esp at the top of the lineup) and I think he'll improve on that. He may not be starting hot, but a sample size of 20 ABs doesn't really convince me of anything.

You are entitled to your opinion but there's really no reason to keep saying it over and over again. He isn't in there and having a fit everytime Jones or Floyd do something you don't like isn't going to change it.

Hey, I will be the first to stop bitching about Murton not playing when either Jones or Floyd stop playing like crap.

exactly the reason he should be playing.

No it isn't. Murton isn't a lock in the lineup but he will get plenty of at bats.

the reason he may not look great is that it's game 8, which is my point. give him time means give him some plate appearances.

so far, it looks like floyd is going to get most of them.

Why does it look like Floyd is going to get most of them? They have each started the same number of games even though they have only faced 1 left-hander. That suggests Murton will get more starts, not Floyd.

I'd love to tell you where to go with your attitude.

I'm not having a fit. I'm making the point that Murton, and his .350 OBP should be playing every day and hitting 2nd. When someone made a counter argument, I countered that. It's not like I'm posting the same thing time and time again. I'm responding to others' posts.
