I'm quite amazed that anybody expected this to go any faster than it has.

no kidding. Impatient sons of guns. We're almost done with the 2nd round and we're still 2+ weeks away from the actual draft. It's not like everybody is logged into this site all day every day.

NY Jets select Ryan Harris, OT from Notre Dame. The Jets are in the process of overhauling the offensive line, and with 3 fresh faces in the past two years, they are well on their way to establishing a consistently great line for Pennington and Jones to use to their advantage.

[tagliabue voice] with the, uh, 63rd pick in the 2007 draft, the New York Jets select Brian Leonard, running back, Rutgers.[/tagliabue voice]

By law, Thomas Jones is not allowed a starting job without competition. Leonard takes over the Wayne Chrebet role of local college white boy who the fans can latch onto with an unwavering support.

The Tampa Bay Buccanners select:

Quentin Moses, DE, Georgia

Simeon Rice and Greg Spires aren't getting any younger, and have seen a production drop, with Rice being in the last year of his deal. Moses will fit in nicely with our previous pick Harrell.

The Oakland Raiders select...

Zach Miller TE Arizona State

Probably one of the best players left on the board, and TE is a position of need for Oakland. I would prefer to draft a DT here, but Miller is too good to pass up.

So Oakland is done:

1. JaMarcus Russell QB LSU

2. Ben Grubbs G Auburn

3. Zach Miller TE ASU

If I were GM/President and had Al Davis in a cage It would go like this.

1. Either trade down or draft Calvin Johnson

2. Sign David Carr(I would have signed him before Carolina)

3. then draft the same the rest of the way.

26th pick in 2nd round, the New Orleans Saints select DT Quinn Pitock, THE Ohio State University.

I think he was the best player available at my pick, but the Eagles are loaded at DT, so I went with a need position.

I don't have a 3rd round pick. Are we going to try to have 4th round?

I'd be all for a 4th round, but I'm not sure if the consesus would agree. The original plan was for just three rounds anyway.
