If you get through on the phone, can you buy tickets for more than one game? Or are you allowed just one game per call? Either way, I'm going to be pounding the phone, as well as have several windows open.

She hasn't been with me for a Cubs season yet, so I am not too sure she knows what she has ahead of her.

I was dating a "White Sox fan" during baseball season last year. And, by white sox fan, I mean if there was a game on TV she'd watch it, other wise she had no idea what was going on. She thought I was a lunatic...Especially since last year was as aggravating as it was...

As recently as 2004 you could buy multiple dates in a single phone call, but I believe that you're limited to one game now.

im not going to bother, you can walk up to the ticket window and get box seats for most games.

i hate that the virtual waiting room is randomly selected, it should be first come first served.

No, the VWR is a lot better than a first-come, first-served model.

The big ticket brokers would have all the tickets that way. The large scale operations could automate the ticket buying process and shut out everyone else.

I seem to remember the VWR not working with Firefox last year and only with IE. Anyone confirm?

Works just fine with firefox.

A reminder:

If you haven't done so already, go to the cubs website, create an account, and enter your credit card info in the "wallet" part of your account info.

It greatly speeds up the purchasing process.

I might be willing to help two or three people after I finish buying tickets for myself today, but I'll only help those who already have their payment info saved to their accounts.

It works fine on Firefox, but you probably want to be using mostly IE windows since you can keep track of non-tab browser windows more easily on the taskbar. You can then have a few Firefox windows going with a bunch of tabs open in each. That eliminates the need to constantly be flipping through a bunch of windows.

They haven't disabled the address bar or control+N in the pre-VWR page yet. If that doesn't change, that means there's going to be a lot more people with a ton of open windows running.

9 minutes.

Lets go go go.

Why are we getting excited for the VWR to open? Isn't 10:00 our big time?

We can set up our windows at 9:30.

Got 49 windows open. All for opening day....if I get those tickets then I'm going to try for White Sox and then Cardinals.

Does it matter what game you have the VWR's open for? Last year I could have sworn it didn't. I want opening day too, so that's why I'm asking.
