I might as well ask this question here.

I just booked the Days Inn Lincoln Park North (at Diversey and something) for next month's Cubs-Cards series. I've stayed there before, but I don't recall exactly how far it is from Wrigley. How long of a walk is it?

8 blocks up clark, which is slightly more than 8 city blocks since it's diagonal, so probably a mile and a quarter.

Nice, thanks!

I stayed there last year. It was probably a 20 minute walk.

Are any of the downtown hotels really nice enough to charge what they do though? Summer rates are ridiculous.

Red Roof on Ontario is 120 a night, which when me and my buddies stay 4 to a room works out to be a pretty good value. (2 of us sleep on the floor)

God no. It's a Days Inn. It's easily the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. But with that said, you can't beat the location. It's within walking distance of Wrigley and the bars surrounding it, so it's worth it to me. And it was "only" 150 a night, not 200.

That's odd. I don't see why the cost would be cheaper for a weekend series against the Cards. They have to know that they can easily sell that weekend out, and you figure they'd jack the prices up higher.

Either way, I'm paying 300 bucks to stay in a freakin Days Inn for two nights. I'm not really happy about the cost, but oh well.

When are the tickets shipping? I am assuming they already have but I haven't received mine yet. Should I be worried?

Depends on when the game is. I got opening day just after they started sending them out. Haven't received anything else yet.

I got tickets for my May games today! I think the expected delivery depends on the printing... The email said they would be mailed after 3/13. Most likely, you'll be getting them soon.

Still haven't received the Sox ticket for May. It looks like people are only receiving tickets to games in April so far. Anyone receive any tickets for May yet?

Just got my White Sox tickets in the mail today. I'm thinking I should wait to put them up on Ebay. Still a lot of tickets on Ebay right now. I'm looking to help pay for my move to Chicago, so I want to get as much money out of them as I can.
