That should do it. Congrats to Peyton Manning and Indianapolis.

Now the question is who gets the MVP?

Addai

He should be, but I can see them going with Manning to make it a good story.

I'm pretty sure it'll be Manning.

Once and for all, because I believe in being a good sport:

Congrats to the Colts.

Better team today, no question about it.

They whipped the Bears in every aspect except special teams. Still upsets me off though. :x

I'm really upset too.

But. Gotta suck it up and admit they were better and they just beat us.

I wouldn't be unhappy with Manning, Addai, or Rhodes-they're about equal for this game IMO.

Thank you for the congrats Bears fans-it is a tough game to gauge because of how the weather conditions affected both teams. You guys have a great squad, and it was a great battle-maybe we can meet again next year. I'm going to try not to post again in this thread, because I know how painful playoff losses can be-good luck, and may you have a productive offseason and successful season. I also hope you guys get some of the respect back that you deserve after the game that you didn't get before. Good game.

Problem is, they also need to really focus on replacing Mike Brown sooner than later. After him, the safety situation isn't too pretty.

Yeah, clearly the biggest problems for the Bears are QB and secondary, though they have dealt with Harrison and Wayne well tonight.

Oh well. Rex had 2 bad throws, played ok other than that, but the Colts were better tonight.

Hopefully the media and fans don't cricify Rex and he comes back next season better for this performance.

Manning 25-38, 247, 1 TD, 1 INT

Rhodes 19 rush, 112 yds, 1 TD

Addai 19 rush, 77 yards, 10 rec, 66 yards

If Addai had a TD, he would get it without question but because it's close I think they'll give it to Manning.

The only thing about as disappointing as the Bears are these commericals.

I got a good chuckle at the Robert Goulet commercial though.

Goulet crawling on the ceiling is going to haunt me for weeks.

Good game, Colts.

They had to kill themselves with the short passing game to get it though. I'm not satisfied with having to play 10 yards off receivers and instituting a "bend but don't break" philosophy----which is really just another way of saying "we can't stop you so please make a mistake".

Oh, they'll crucify him and run him out of town.

Most of the media and Bears fans are morons, so I doubt they'll look at it objectively. He had a bad game, he's had several of them and several great games, enough glimpses of great games to merit seeing what he can do with more experience.

At least there was the obligatory Brett Farve commerical.

When I saw that I yelled "expletive" Favre. And threw my Bears hat at the TV. Man I hate that glory hound.

I don't think Rex is the answer, but he doesn't deserve what's coming.

It's going to be really ugly, Bartman-esque.

Jay Mariotti will be leading the pack. It's as inevitable as the Bill Plaschke "Tank Johnson is a disgrace" column.

He played terribly in the Super Bowl after whining about being criticized.

Believe this like you believe in life itself: Rex is about to be crucified to all hell.

And they'll cement the fact that Bear fans are the dumbest fanbase in the city. Rex Grossman isn't why they lost. He might not have helped, but he didn't kill the team tonight. The run game was bad outside of one run, the play calling was bad, and the defense played tentatively.

His turnovers were the nails in the coffin, but not the determining factor.

I understand all of that, and I understand it isn't hopeless...it's just that for once I'd like to see the Bears go into a season with something resembling a truly and decently RELIABLE quarterback. Not necessarily great or awe-inspiring...just good enough so that it isn't nerve-wracking every time the ball is thrown. I just want that again, please. Rex, if you can be that guy...please be him. Don't be great...just be decent and reliable most of the time. We don't need the extremes...just settle in the middle.
