NO ONE HAS EVER SPOKEN OF PHILIP RIVERS' SUB-30 RATING GAME AND HIS RECENT STRUGGLES.

Everyone has a bad game every now and then, but Rex has four games under 30 this year.

There were 8 qualified QB's who finished the season with QB ratings lower than Rex's. Half of them lost their jobs during the season. One (Joey Harrington) won't be a starter next year, and another (Charlie Frye) will probably have to compete for a job.

ding ding ding, you win the prize. Rex Grossman was God-awful for five starts; Philip Rivers was awful in one, maybe two. Rivers had the #8 passer rating in the NFL (#5 among guys who played the entire year) and made the Pro Bowl. Rex Grossman was worse than most of the quarterbacks in the NFL, and is considerably worse than every other quarterback left in the playoffs. He turned the ball over than everyone not named Jon Kitna.

Maybe it's not a media conspiracy to make him look bad - maybe he IS bad.

As a Bears fan, I hope they acquire a QB, maybe by trading up in the draft.

how do you punt in that situation???

nfl coaches are so damn conservative. you have to give your team the best chance to win and andy reid did not do that.

I was just stunned that they did that. The way we were running the ball, I don't understand how they think they could have stopped us from getting a first down.

For those like me that missed Bush getting laid out, here's a youtube link.

I was sooooooooooo scared after that, I even spilled my drink I was so shocked. The good thing is that Reggie is a pretty tough guy despite his reputation for being someone who doesn't like contact.

Reggie said that was the hardest he had ever been hit in the postgame

I am really torn on who I want to win this game. On one hand you have LT and there amazing Defense but a young shaky Qb in Rivers and they are stuck with Marty as coach. Then you got Brady and Bellicheck and are less scary defense. Hopefully it will be a good game atleast.

Part of me wants SD to win, another part of me thinks it would be absolutely nutty around here if another Colts/Pats matchup occurred.

I don't want them wasting a high pick on a QB when we got a good one with Rex. There is a lot more wholes that need to be filled way before QB. Secondary needs a lot of help and if Briggs leave will need another LB. Plus another TE/WR would be really nice as well.

Haven't been paying attention, but Rivers is 2/7 for 14 yards - is he as bad as his stats, again?

No, he has been dead on with all but one of his passes, the recievers are flat out dropping them.
