I really am sick of the Patriots. I hope the Colts slaughter them.

Seconded. Brady had a crappy game today, threw in one good drive, and won. Unbelievable. So damn mad right now...

Crap.

I don't even care. Bears could beat either of these teams

What happen to the Bears last time they played the Colts. I think Manning threw for fours TD's. The Bears can't beat either the Pats or Colts.

Thanks for the comparison to 2004. I'm sure nothing has changed since then.

Not really much roster wise has changed.

Yeah, except for a better offense, defense and special teams.

Outside of the WRs and RBs and most of the OL and the starting QB.

And an injury-ravaged defense...including...no Brian Urlacher who was out injured. Briggs and the corners are much improved, the special teams is improved.

It looks like Vegas agree with me that all the teams are even-opening lines that I've seen has the Colts and Bears as 3 point favorites, which means both games would be a pick em game on a neutral field.

What happened between the Bears and Colts in the past is a non issue until both teams win their conference championships.

It's only fitting that Manning will have to beat the Patriots for the right to play in the Super Bowl.

I have zero confidence in Peyton Manning to accomplish that task.

Um...

I'll go with

AFC

Patriots over Chargers

Ravens over Colts(I hope otherwise)

Ravens over Patriots

NFC

Seahawks over Bears

Eagles over New Orleans

Eagles over Seahawks

Ravens over Eagles

What was LT talking about during the press conference? What exactly happened? The classy situation??

i guess the pats were doing the "lights out" dance on their logo and lt took offense...lame.

If you don't want to watch another team dance on your logo, don't give them the opportunity.

:twocents:

Disagree. Dancing on another team's logo is the kind of bush-league crap I'd expect from a major college in Florida or Michigan State and shouldn't be allowed or tolerated.

There is such a thing as being a sore winner too though. I'm on LT's side on this one. Everyone got angry when TO stood on the star against Dallas, I don't see this as being any different.

i didn't get angry...like Chris said, if you don't want them showing you up...don't let them.

I really do not respect a team that would do that. Simply do your job, and get ready for the next game. Just pointing out that if you win the game it doesn't give the other team a chance to celebrate on your home field.

If I was a betting man, I'd be running to place money against the bears. They couldn't stop a pathetic seahawks team. They can't stop accurate passers period. They're going to get torched unless their defense goes nuts. The Bears will either lose or win by 20+. I'll give 2:1 odds on that

As a couple of posters already mention, it was a classless move by the Patriots. Doing another player's signature move on the LOGO is the picture of disrespect. TO did it to the Star in Dallas, when he was a 9er, and he got ripped for it, the players who copied Merriman should be ripped.

And the Patriots are said to be "classy organization", and seeing as LT isn't one of those self-promoting jerks, I say he has some credence, and a reason to be mad. LT is mad about losing the game, no doubt, but this goes beyond the game, you disrespecting your opponent, which will be felt the next time the two teams play.

Why couldn't the Patriots just shake the hands of the Chargers, and celebrate in the clubhouse, like the professional they are "suppose" to be. Patriots come off looking like jerks in the case, and I hope the Colts beat the stuffing out of them next week.

The Seahawks are not a "pathetic" team. They had a healthy Hasselbeck and Alexander, and outside of losing Hutchingson to FA, they pretty much had their same offensive talent from the Super Bowl team. That is FAR from being "pathetic." The Bears beat a team that was underachieivng, who was dealing with injuries. In other words, the Bears didn't beat a "pathetic" team.

He said it was a classless move, and he felt disrespected. He also said that the Patriots behavior reflected their coach. Something along those lines.

He was just very frustrated and upset, as anyone can understand he would be.

Patriots shouldn't be doing that. But then again----that Merriman dance is among the most ridiculous things I've ever seen.
