well, this is entertaining

 

what jumps out at me.... the linebackers on this guy's all-Big Ten team:

 

LB -- David Harris, Michigan

LB -- J Leman, Illinois

LB -- James Laurinaitis, Ohio State

 

 

Now, here's a tidbit from the Big Ten's website:

 

The Big Ten is guaranteed to bring home the Bednarik Award, which is granted to the nation's top defensive player, for the sixth time in conference annals after Michigan's LaMarr Woodley and the Penn State duo of Dan Connor and Paul Posluszny were tabbed as the three finalists.

 

And here are the finalists for the Butkus Award, which goes to the best linebacker:

 

James Laurinaitis, Ohio State, Sophomore

Paul Posluszny, Penn State, Senior

Patrick Willis, University of Mississippi, Senior

 

The award went to Patrick Willis.

 

Now CALL ME CRAZY, but I'd think that the defensive player of the year, one of the three finalists for LB of the year, and a first team All-American, probably was among the three best linebackers in his own conference. What could explain this oversight???

 

 

 

Bruce Hooley covered the Big Ten for 19 years and now is host of a daily talk show on WBNS-AM 1460 in Columbus, Ohio.

I'm guessing a lot of people don't check the fantasy forum. Here's the info on the bowl confidence pool. There's only 5 people in it right now and neither Cuse nor any of the SEC people are in it. Where's the fun in that?

It would be neat because we have people from all around the country. Thats a reason i enjoy the CFB discussion here because it can be about many different teams.

well, if TCU wins tonight, I'll be tied for first nationally in the ESPN confidence pool... if they lose, then I'll be tied for last.

Not everyone put 32 points on TCU.
