I created a group for ESPN's bowl game prediction contest. Once the bowl matchups are finalized you pick the winner of each game, assigning confidence points for each game based on which picks you're most sure about. Although you can't make picks yet, you can enter. The group name is NSBB League, and the password is NSBB. I'll post another announcement once picks can begin.

I made OSU my highest.

I made Michigan my second highest. Dont feel that supremely confident but i had to have it ranked 1st or 2nd.

They should have a chart on our league website detailing all of our picks once the 'lock in' period is over.

It was a tough balance between giving points to games that I felt confidently about v. games that I felt my pick would be different than most people.

I always think the smart bet is to go with straight confidence, because the games you have differently you aleady have a huge edge just from them losing their 16 points for being wrong in addition to the 8 you gain from being right.

In games like this I always like to shoot for the moon, that's probably a big part of my thinking.

It's kind of annoying that you can't view people's picks til the 27th.

I put 28 on TCU for those interested.

Hey, me too. I didn't think I had put that much on it.

EDIT: Check out the who pickem whom page. Lots of extreme percentages with who picked whom. Only 3.8% for Iowa with McCoy in doubt? Wow.

I'm confused by the New Mexico-San Jose St disparity. New Mexico is favored... and it's the New Mexico Bowl.

In any case, I picked only 4 underdogs... plus the Tulsa-Utah game is exactly 50/50.

Ha, i picked Iowa. Whatta loser i guess i am. 3.8% is reallly low though. I figured not a lot guys would pick them so maybe i could pick up some points.

well, looks like it's either me or soccer10k... if O$U wins, I win, but if Florida wins, I lose too many points and he takes over first place.

You've won already. You have more points already (385) than everybody except for the second place guy (who I assume to be bukie) can get overall. Both of you picked Ohio State to win so he can't gain on you. I can only get one more point which would put me at 375.

oh, I was thinking you get negative points for the games you get wrong. Guess I should've looked at the rules.
