Our secondary gets burned becasue we have two run-stopping safeties that can't stop the pass to save their life. Our nickelback is a guy who started the season on OUR practice squad. That should tell you how bad he is. Secondary help would definitely be nice. Ken Hamlin is a FA this year, so he is definitely my #1 priority in terms of Free Agency.

Ryan Pickett has been a good FA signing, but Cullen Jenkins/Corey Williams doesn't really get it done at the other DT spot. They're nice players; as 2nd and 3rd stringers. A big DT would definitely help us out as well.

The good thing about it is, it's like playing in the National League in baseball. It's never that bad because the rest of the league is so mediocre you can jump back in it with one decent offseason.

Not that I want to see competition from the Packers, mind you 8-)

The NFC North is going to be one of the stronger divisions in the next few years IMO. The Packers have the money to spend on FAs and figure to get a couple more decent draft picks this year. Once the Viqueens find a QB, I think that they'll be a legit team. They are already one of the best run stopping D's in the league. The Lions...well as long as Matt Millen is the GM, they won't do anything anytime soon.

Our NFC North reign lasted 3 years. I think the Bears NFC North reign will also last 3 years. I feel that the Bears will be facing much stiffer compeitition in the division in the next few years.

I think Steve Smith is going in the second round, flames.

Besides Cavin Johnson, Dwayne Jarrett and Ted Jinn, there's also Sidney Rice and Robert Meachem who should go ahead of Smith (all underclassmen).

Samardizja is also projected to go ahead of him-in fact, I hate this bitterly because most mock drafts have Samardizja going to the Patriots in the first round. :(

I'm curious if the Bears have given any thought to drafting Samardzija. Lord knows they probably won't pick defense yet again.

Another WR that I forgot to list. If the Pack were to draft him, I wouldn't feel nearly as bad if he spurns the Cubs

don't be so sure of that. need to replace Mike Brown, may have to replace Briggs, both Wale and A Brown seem to have lost a step (although Wale was an animal yesterday), the line isn't as deep as we all thought at the beginning of the season, and everyone always needs another CB.

Carolina needs to draft Smith just for the confusion factor.

Typical stupid playcalling to start it off. Two runs up the gut for nothing and an incompletion.

Steve Smith isn't just the best individual player in the league besides LDT, he's also by far the most underutilized weapon in the league.

That's what we thought last year. I'm betting on another D-heavy draft, I trust Angelo drafting defensive guys more anyways.

As a Bears fan, I want a rematch with Carolina in our first playoff game. This may cause a nd reverse jinx, but the Panthers have been very unimpressive every time I have seen them this season.

Ah yes, the typical "completely and totally shut down the other team for the first 25 minutes of the game, then give up a scoring drive reminiscent of the early-00s Colts defense right before the half" thing. I'm very familiar with this.

I swear we are the most predictable team in the league.

as a Bears fan, I want no part of Steve Smith against the Bears cover 2.

Eh, he doesn't seem the same this year. Delhomme is terrible.

If LT is the best offensive player in football, then Steve Smith is number 2

I'll take Peyton over Smith. Smith is top 4 or 5 though.

could jake delhomme intentionally ground it more? could he whine more? what a tool

I didn't see the 2nd grounding. The 1st one was grounding, but the 2nd one, Sportsline had as intended for Gaines. Not sure about that one.
