Ok guys...end the argument. Everyone has made their point. Enough.

This goes for everyone.

Oh c'mon, man. The guy comes in here and starts trashing the Bears, kicking dirt in our faces while we are down, and you tell us to back off? The only thing we are doing is challenging him on his backwards a** arguments. He knew he was in for it when he posted it. If he didn't like the response he shouldn't have come in here spouting off.

Some of the responses back at him were against the board rules too.

Best as I can tell, mine were not. I'll let it go.

I don't believe it was yours, but others certainly were out of line.

Thanks for letting it go.

Never liked Eli, especially after that SD flap. I once said I'd rather have Craig Krenzel since he was 3-0 as a start (at the time) and Eli was something like 1-6.

Yup. That's pretty much all I should've needed to know THAT one was off.

You know, part of what scares me a little about Rex is that he seems unsure of himself in interviews. I know that's a silly reason, but if he can't be comfortable in an interview, how is he going to be comfortable in a big game?

Yes, he's young, but look at a guy like Philip Rivers who's so natural in an interview....

Anyway, it's just a thought.

Johnny Unitas, Bart Starr, and Joe Montana were all total dorks.

one thing I don't get about the offense, and this goes for the good games they have had as well, is Grossman's mobility.

why under Turner, allegedly a west coast offense, do they never get the QB out of the pocket? remember when we all said "he's might be good, but has to get better in the pocket?" for those of us who were initially impressed with his early work, it was because of his scrambling ability.

where'd the mobile Rex Grossman go?

this got lost in the Panthers argument and touchdown. thoughts anyone?

I would like to see Grossman roll out a few more times. I'm not sure how good he would be, but it might worth a shot.

Leave the thread...

I kid, I kid.

It's just the impression I get. I could be way off base.

I dont know. He's not moving in the pocket well either. It seems earlier he had glimpes of that but not anymore. He needs to improve that. SOmetimes the play is there if he just moves in the pocket to buy a split second. I guess too he's like....holy crap no one is being blocked i better get rid of this SOB, screw running.

I hear you. I want to like the kid, but he seems --- at this point, anyway --- too much like a "wiz kid" or something, and not enough like a grown up leader.

Can a QB find success and not have the "ambience" of a leader? Yeah, I'm sure it's not a prime factor. But I worry about Rex learning and make adjustments, especially since the league is now adjusting to HIM.

Still though, I'm watching this game and seeing an OLine that is just getting raped by a bunch of backups. I'm not sure if I can hang all the blame on Rex. There has to be blocking too.

If he can't handle the media, he can't handle the media. It takes a different skill set to play on the field.

what's funny about the SD flap is the same thing that was funny about the Elway flap. two or three years later, New England was in the Super Bowl, before Denver made it. same thing looks like it might happen for San Diego.

It was actually the Colts that Elway refused to play for.

Wasn't Elway anti-Indy?

I realize the skills are independant of one another. It's not a greatly rational argument, it's just one of those "reaction" kind of thoughts.
