But they also have lost to Navy, San Diego State, and BYU. Air Force can't throw the ball(they have two backs with more rushing yards than their QB has passing yards) if they fall behind either.

Is BYU really a good example of a loss to illustrate that an unranked team isn't that tough?

I think Navy is a good team overall, I don't think AF will give ND a challenge, but Navy is a pretty good team, IMO.

UK progressed enough and has the luxury of an extra fluff game as well as some down years from 3 SEC schools (espec. UGA) to get there. But, Uk and Vandy aren't that far off and should be a close game, I'm worried about a letdown.

Well good luck to ya UK. Vandy is a pretty scrappy team and I don't think for a second that Kentucky is going to have a letdown against them, they just can't let that type of thing happen at this stage even after the big Georgia win.

Vandy is one of those teams that can play with anybody, but can't necessarily beat them. You've got your hands full, UK, but good luck. (I was in Lexington when Central Michigan came to town. It was an odd weekend.)

Vandy has played some good teams very tough, they matched up better against UF than UK. Hopefully, UK will cont. to run the ball like they did. Fans actually tried tearing down the goal posts after the UGA win.

That wasn't exactly my intention. I almost left them off, but the point is that they've lost several games aside from that, including some not so great teams.

It'd be nice to beat Oregon State AT Pasadena, especially since the Bruins then have ASU at Tempe and USC. It'd be really unpleasant to finish the season with 7 losses.

 

Of course, politics aside, finishing the season 4-7 would really put Dorrell on a short leash for next season.

 

Man, we're flirting for 2nd to last place in the Pac-10. :(
