I saw Lovie last nite!

His son is my age and goes to Northwestern. He was dropping his son off at around 5:30 in a black escalade right in front of my dorm, so I went up and told him how awesome the Bears were, etc etc

It was a magical moment in my life. We're practically brothers now.

Awesome. I've seen Jerry Angelo twice right by my apartment. I've never said anything to him but next time I see him I'll probably give him a hug.

Tank Johnson left with a shoulder stinger but is expected to be fine for this Sunday.

Also, Drew Rosenhaus met with Angelo before the 49ers game, but according to the Sun Times, there wasn't any talk of a contract extension for Briggs.

prediction 28-3 There horrible, but we might not be as on fire as last week guys there defense is better than the 49rs or at least I think it is.

Does driver realize that if the Bears go 4-5 the rest of the way, the Packers would have to go 8-1 to tie the Bears, and would have to beat the Bears in Soldlier Field to "catch up" to the Bears

jeez, Miami??? Horrible.

36-3 Bears.

The Dolphins are not a very good team, but I see it being closer than that. I'd say 24-10

I don't think so. The Bears have shown a willingness to run up the score on weak opponents and they've been dominant at home. If the Dolphins struggle early it will get ugly for them very quickly.

From Espn Insider/Pro Football Weekly:

LB Lance Briggs is essentially playing his final games as a Chicago Bear. We're told there's no way the Bears can afford to keep their Pro Bowl weakside 'backer with rising stars like DT Tommie Harris also nearing the end of their contracts. Briggs is in the midst of a third straight solid season and will almost certainly attract monster offers in free agency.

It's been real, Lance. I hope you enjoy your time with the Redskins more than Holdman did.

Bulletin Board material of the week provided by Kevin Carter of the Dolphins:

"I don't really care who gives us what odds or whatever," Carter told the Palm Beach Post. "It's not going to affect the way I play. It's not like I'm going out on the practice field and saying, 'Oh the mighty Bears; we're going to get beat.'

"Who cares? I don't care about them. I don't care what their record is or how they're supposed to be great."

I don't think that is going to be great bulletin board material. He set himself up for bulletin board material if he had proceeded to another sentence, but right there he seems to just want to focus on his team and his play, and not what the other team is doing-he's not necessarily saying that his team will play better.

Yeah, the questions he was getting were probably among the lines of "oh what's it like to go play the big bad Bears on the road," with reporters implying that the Dolphins have no chance. Saying that you're not conceding victory before even getting on the plane is not bulletin board material.

Maybe. If you take those last couple of sentences out of context though, I think the Bears can use that...maybe I'm wrong.

On a completely seperate note, these may be the worst QB rankings I've ever seen.

Word. I don't see Briggs returning at all. Its going to have been a major focus in the draft for next year. He's a solid player but not someone that I'd invest a major contract in.

Yea, that's an absolutely ridiculous system of basis. The fact that Grossman has had a lead of more than 25 points 5 weeks out of 7 has counted against him, dropping him down to 21st. I really don't see the point of that ranking system.

Any system that has both Kurt Warner and JP Losman ranked higher than Grossman, is a flawed system.
