How many times did Miami blitz today? For, its becoming obvious Grossman is having trouble handling or adjusting to the blitz. I'm guessing the Giants are going to blitz, blitz and blitz some more, knowing this, let's see if Turner is worth his salt. If a team' going to blitz away there's got to be a way to beat it...

Even without the blitzing, Miami's D-Line made the Bears O-Line look terrible, they just abused them, they couldn't protect Grossman and give the runners good lanes.

On the flipside, the Bears D-Line looked worse than the Bears O-Line which is saying something & why they were demolished.

The Bears have to adjust to how teams are attacking them with quick 3 step drops and quick passes.

Oh that's right the "angry" Jason Taylor but, seriously, I agree the offensive line was terrible today as a result, they put the defense in bad positions all day.

no, they lost because of the turnovers. if they hold onto the ball, they likely win this game.

Minus the fumble by Hester and Gage, the turnovers were caused by pressure on Grossman.

The Bears had Brown running all over them as well.

Even without the turnovers, the Bears get whipped in the trenches and they'll lose.

They got dominated on both lines.

statistically, that simply isn't true. if you get whipped in the trenches, you don't end up even in yardage (under 300). The offense lost this game.

The only why this game was close in yardage is b/c Harrington sucks, they gave up 160 yards on the ground, they didn't put any pressure on Harrington, and he is still bad enough to throw two picks and not establish a passing game.

If a defense doesn't get any pressure on a QB and gives up the yards on the ground like they did, they are getting beat. The Bears couldn't stop the run and they couldn't put any pressure on Harrington (partially b/c of the scheme of Miami but mostly b/c they were outplayed).

Obviously, the Bears O-Line had it handed to them by the Miami D-Line.

vikings just lost

phew

well, I dont think Miami was very successful w/the blitz, but lets face it, w/o Berrian, its too easy to do...

maybe not, but its clear Grossman screws up when under pressure. The bears should look into some screen packages. They also need to run the ball better if they are going to the super bowl. grossman is not good enough to win games on his own.

And how about an occasional shotgun? It's ridiculous. I kept thinking Grossman was going to trip over himself dropping back.

He's immature, and I think he's clearly been affected by his injury history. When he dances and shuffles his feet, you know he's feeling pressure, even if he has plenty of time. It's over. He'll throw it off his back foot, he'll throw it into coverage, he'll overthrow his reciever.

At least it won't be difficult to review the game tapes and pinpoint the problems.

The offensive line looked so bad on pass plays today, I could have sworn Grossman insulted all of their mothers.

And how about an occasional shotgun?

From what I understand Kreutz doesn't like the shotgun.

So since everyone treats him like a god, I guess we won't be considering the shotgun.

Was this loss really all that bad for the Bears? As long as they get home field for the playoffs I am happy. The Bears needed to be humbled and they relieved themselves of the pressure of trying to have a perfect season.

Now they just might lose four in a row though.

IMO, it's not so much that they lost, but how and to whom they lost, that really gets under my skin. It would be hard to convince me otherwise that the Bears didn't almost completely hand the game over to the phins.

Yeah I'm with you. They just got embarrassed today.

Look at it from this perspective: if they lose next week in New York, they lose the top seed in the playoffs as the Giants and Bears would have the same record and same conference record. However, by virtue of H2H, New York would be the top seed if the season were to end that day.

indy wins at new england. the rest of their games are pretty winnable with a last game matchup with . . . you know it . . .miami. wouldn't that be sweet?

Kreutz can't flip it back?

Reasons why the Bears should use the shotgun more.

1. Rex folds when he feels the heat.

2. Rex is short

3. Rex is immobile

Actually, if New Orleans wins on Sunday as well, they would be tied with both the Bears and the Giants (assuming a Bears loss). 3 way tie...

Makes to much sense right?

I was actually not to thrilled last week when Kreutz got extended.

If I'm not mistaken he was actually quoted saying that he would not run the shotgun formation.(sometime last year I think he said this)

Urlacher will have an MRI this morning. They don't think anything is broken, but they want to check if there was any ligament damage.
Posted

"I got rolled up on and at this point I really don't know what the prognosis is," said Urlacher, who declined to discuss any specifics of the injury when reached late Sunday night. "I'm sure I'll be all right, but we'll see."

I wont be upset if its a sprain. I can handle that. Do you really do an MRI for a sprain, hopefully they are just cautious. Turf toe would suck big ones.

He played the next play, and walked into the tunnel under his own power. The media spotted him walking to his car afterwards with no visible limp.

I suppose none of that really means anything, but it makes me feel better anyway :)
