Wow the Bears didnt make John Clayton's First and 10 article which analyzes the top 11 games of the weekend. I know its a mismatch, but games like the Jets and Browns and Steelers and Raiders are on there.

The hate and anger for Benson in Chicago is even more than some of the over the top hate (in other words stubbornness of pre-season Griese supporters) towards Grossman. I think people are still anger at Benson for holding out in the summer of 2005. I don't get it. He needs to play, and he needs to soon.

B&B were talking on the Score last night about how the Bulls fans that call into their show are actually usually pretty smart about basketball, and said they were WAY better than the dumb Bears fans they get calling in.

There are FAR fewer stereotypes of "Bulls Basketball" than there are about "Bear Football". That's probably why. People really eat up the preconcieved notions about football in general and Chicago football in general, and the result is a sea of ignorance.

I'm not so sure about that. I've heard them stop taking calls before because of the idiocy of some of the callers. I think it's just the genuine nature of a sports talk show caller.

This upsets me, I'd much rather have Chris Harris out there than Todd " i get blocked 40 yards downfield on a screen pass" Johnson.

 

This Mike Brown injury, compounded with possible suspension and injury of Ricky Manning Jr. could put a lot of pressure on our already weakened secondary. Bad News Bears.

 

I say give Cedric Benson 15 carries this game and see what he does with them. He does well? Keep give him 15 carries. Thomas Jones' act is starting to get old with me.

Bumping to keep this on the first page. I had another bad dream about Urlacher the other night. Before, I dreamt that he broke his neck in a game against KC, and they proceeded to beat the tar out of Buffalo. This week, I had a dream he died, so maybe that means they beat SF 56-3?

The Bears being so unbelievable has been the only relief at all, though temporary, that I've had from this pitiful excuse for a baseball team we can't seem to stop loving. I really need to see a Bears Superbowl victory. This February.

When everyone was calling for Benson last year, Jones kept him on the bench by having a real good season. I think Jones comes out running the ball hard and makes us all forget about that dancing crap he pulled against Arizona.

 

As for the DBs, they were fine last year without Brown for a while. And they never really had a consistent nickel back. They also had a rookie at FS last year, in Harris. Tillman and Vasher have to step up their game. Pass rush has to keep coming. The Bears will be fine.
