The game is on FOX. My first FOX Bears game of the year, how fun.

The NFL Network will re-air the MNF game on Thursday at 7 pm CT.

I'll go out on a limb and say UMF will post a few pics of Nathan Vasher in this thread. :)

You know me too well...but I'll start with the bruising plays. The Bears play SF so much (2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006), they are almost like a division rival.

Only the greatest rookie 5th round pick.

Easily. Including today, you can't say enough about our front 7. I heard Mark Anderson was a LB/DE tweener, any chance we can move him to LB for Hunter? That way we can get him in the rotation and still have a great front 4.

Obviously I'm kidding, but I can dream :)

I know its not the Great 5th Rounder, but expect this image to be duplicated (Except with the QB being 11, not).

Is it just me or does it look like Leinart got interrupted during a Derek Zoolander impersonation?

Anything short of a double digit victory is a major disappointment.

Exactly. The Bears better make the 49ers pay for last night.

Hopefully they can take advantage of the bye week. They need Mike Brown healthy. And hopefully Manning Jr. didn't hurt himself too badly and won't get suspended this week.

Isn't it a little early for this thread? Two weeks of discussion before kickoff?

Are you new here? :D

This thread could easily grow to 15-20 pages before the game actually kicks off, no?

I think we had around 8 pages on the Arizona game, and that was only one week.

Indeed. That reinforces the idea that it is never too early to discuss the BEARS..... or the CUBS, for that matter !!

This last game has me a little nervous of what Rex is going to bring to the table in his next game, but I think the 2 weeks will be pretty nice to establish a gameplan and stick to it. Also, more Ced Ben is needed, in terms of running the ball period and also less of Thomas Jones.

Too early? I am suprised that we don't have a Cubs/Reds Opening Day game thread up yet.

Too many of us still hate the Cubs right now.

With Fred's comment, I was going to suggest starting a Cubs 2007 opening day thread.

If the Bears don't kill the 49ers coming off the bye week and their woeful performance in Glendale, then they need a few losses to spark them through the playoffs. And they need HFA in the NFC.

HFA is overrated.

Actually, the Bears are pretty much guaranteed to be 8-0, since their next two games are against the pathetic Niners and Dolphins. Then they go to the Meadowlands, and I think they'll lose that game to the Giants. I think they also lose at New England and at either the Jets or Rams, but win the rest and close out 13-3. There aren't a lot of loseable games for the Bears - home games against SF, Mia, TB and GB are pretty much automatic wins. Just going .500 in their other 6 games means a 13-3 record.
